Being able to fight in a controlled environment like Jon Jones does, with rules, weight classes, refs and time limits does not equate to fighting in the streets.

why do you not get that?

So fighting in the streets is somehow going to allow Mike Tyson to stop Jones' takedowns?

IF jones grabs a hold of him. he gotta get in close enough to do that...tyson could knock him out before that happens.

i can see this playing out in a number of different ways. im going to say whoever gets the drop on the other fighter is going to win :shake:

:shake: I still think Jones would beat him :D

fight smart in a street fight :comeon:

i did some BJJ for two yrs. i'm not fukking with Iron Mike.

Talk about irrelevant.

Yep if a :flabbynsick: Rampage was able to withstand Jones leg kicks and get some licks in on his chin (arm punches mind you, nothing close to a Tyson hook thrown properly with legs and body) then a prime Mike is :mj: all over Jones

Some licks? Rampage landed close to nothing that fight. Like somebody said, Jones was toying with him that fight.

Jones toyed with Rampage

are u being serious?

and u do realize that Rampage grew up a wrestler right?

When was the last time Rampage used his wrestling skills though...ages ago. Seemed to me Jones was looking to keep distance and not get put to sleep, he wasn't worried about Page's wrestling skills, he was worried about his hands.

Tyson obviously has a punching chance

they fight 10 times...Jones wins 8

Its actually not even fair for ol' Iron mike..he never trained submission defense or any BJJ/wrestling at all in his life. Mike can try to bite him and shyt off his back..i guess :ld:

He got a few shots in tho. Jones didn't respond well to them either.

Page got his ass whooped, my argument is that he was able to at least land on jones tho, with hand game no where near as sharp as a Tyson.

rampage doesnt use offensive wrestling....he uses his wrestling in reverse to stay on his feet...ala Chuck Liddell. Which in the past has worked for him...but has failed recently against higher level wrestlers (Jones, Bader, Rashad)

All Jones has to do is get the fight to the ground. The second that happens, Tyson would look like a fish out of water. Jones would mount him right away and start pouring down elbows. Tyson's face would become a bloody mess.

would a prime rampage beat tyson? with some of yall arguments it seems so

i mean..possibly. Not if it stayed up standing...but rampage definitely had the tools to get the fight to the ground...which, a lot of u guys dont understand...but if it goes to the ground and the guy on top knows what hes doing...its not leaving that position

this cracks me up...not that it shows what would happen in that fight (its a skinny white dude trying to take him down, which is an oxymoron of what would happen in a tyson street fight), just that it shows rampage has been wrestling from a young age

Rampage didn't land anything significant, not sure what fight you were watching.

Depends on Rampage's strategy. If he decides to stand and trade, he would definitely lose, but if he goes back to his wrestling roots, I would favor him. Also, Rampage has an excellent chin, he would be able to eat a punch or two when taking Tyson to the ground. Tyson's power is on another level though, so you never know..

thats not what i'm saying. we're talking about a street fight with a known goon.

id think if u have trained as much as u claim, ud realize the whole "goon" and "tough guy thing" is a bunch of fukking :duck:

theres the trained...and the untrained

certinaly some people are "tougher" than others, but still...trained...untrained

\edit: not saying tyson wasnt trained...but if jones could take him down (which he would) its not even fair....its like taking candy from a baby

.

So, you still dont get that it's a street fight.. and not a UFC bout?

IT'S A STREET FIGHT....something that Mike Tyson actually grew up doing.

b-bu-but Jones can take him down:laff:

y'all MMA fanboys are delusional when it comes to fighting in the real world....like nikkas in the real world are going to follow the rules and regulations of UFC.
