The future of progress in this country does not lie within national politics. It's workplace democracy and city planning.
You need a higher wage so you can afford to live in your city. The president won't give you that, your employer will if you are in a union job. If you're not in one, tools like signal, whatsapp, discord or just personal email is how you get the real workers together to start planning unionization.
You need roads that aren't falling apart. The president won't give you that. Your alderman or city council will give you that.
You need better schools so you know your kid is actually learning shyt. Textbooks and education funding are the responsibilities of the state.
You need cheaper housing and crackdowns on short term rentals. Your state will do that. A state rep can earmark funds to make sure those construction contracts and permits are given for new, affordable housing.
Vote for who speaks to your interests locally. If there isn't a culture, a movement of people wanting these things, the fed won't care or respond. Hold your state representatives accountable by voting them out if they're wasting time in Washington instead of doing what you sent them there to do.
People like Lauren boebert are finding out right now that their clown shyt isn't translating to more support locally. The people who live in the states they're representing are losing patience with the bullshyt and want action.
