I have the same idealogy like this dude and I am unvaccinated. The thing is I understand that being unvaccinated will limit my life right now and I am completely cool with it.
The unvaccinated people who complain about not being able to do certain stuff are the ones who are really in the wrong. They need to understand that these rules are in for the safety of others, and in the chance that you do get Covid from being unvaccinated why would you want to spread it onto others :manny:.

I'm staying my ass home until I feel comfortable enough to take the vaccine. I'm still going to be doing social distancing, mask wearking, and sanitizing daily tho.

I'm always open to corrections....98% survival for polio/small pox/measals would get the same treatment/outlook as covid is getting, which was the point
:patrice:
In about 98% of cases, polio is a mild illness, with no symptoms or with viral-like symptoms. In paralytic polio, the virus leaves the digestive tract, enters the bloodstream, and then attacks nerve cells. Fewer than 1%-2% of people who contract polio become paralyzed. In severe cases, the throat and chest may be paralyzed. Death may result if the patient does not receive artificial breathing support.

What would make you more comfortable? More data on long term affects? More studies about the vaccine in general? Just curious. Tbh I only got it as fast as I did cause my mom was coming into town :manny:

Here’s the thing most ppl that feel like him don’t have his level of fitness, his money to get drs if he does catch it, and most Americans have some type of co morbidity or two. Especially the anti vax squadron.

At the end of the day this just comes down to smart vs ignorant/dumb.

Arguing with these no vax people is a waste of time. It’s like trying to teach trigonometry to a toddler.

duly noted.

So polio hysteria also didn't reflect the science? :jbhmm:

So depending solely on immunity resistance was the key to the 98%?:jbhmm:
The theory is that in the past, infants were exposed to polio, mainly through contaminated water supplies, at a very young age. Infants’ immune systems, aided by maternal antibodies still circulating in their blood, could quickly defeat poliovirus and then develop lasting immunity to it. However, better sanitary conditions meant that exposure to polio was delayed until later in life, on average, when a child had lost maternal protection and was also more vulnerable to the most severe form of the disease.

Because of widespread vaccination, polio was eliminated from the Western Hemisphere in 1994
History of Polio | History of Vaccines
will comparing polio and covid hysteria, not vaccine efficacy, offer a lesson about living with Covid?:jbhmm:

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I was uncomfortable and even after getting the vaccine, I’m still uncomfortable because I don’t know long term effects. What could possibly happen in the future with this thing

You a whole STEM major, and still on that "I dunno what the vaccine does" tip. :what:
