I highly respect and appreciate how he articulated his stance. I don't agree with him entirely, but I don't disagree entirely either. Props to him for calling out the media. I'm not a fan of anti-vaxxers but I get where he's coming from. Refreshing to see a young athlete convey his thoughts clearly. Cuz these rappers and athletes leave a lot to be desired during interviews. I've heard middle schoolers express thoughts better than the average rapper.
You’re broke tho

The science says 100% vaccination doesn't eliminate covid and natural immunity is stronger than vaccine, so once he made his status clear, then he shouldn't be a target of any questions/attacks...but here we, not following the science and yall credibility continues to be sus

a stance that would have kept polio, the measles, TB, smallpox a present day threat instead of something close to eradication. :francis:

if those virus provided stronger immunity after catching them, then the comparisons would be accurate

what natural immunity? people have gotten covid more than once and have died.
how many millions will have to die of covid chasing the "natural immunity"?
I don't know what covid death rate stats you acknowledge as fact but go run those numbers against the entire population of the united states and tell us how many people gotta die.

Do you have data showing that breakthrough cases are less infectious or that their transmission rate is lower? Because I haven't seen that

Wrt to transmission

Study ties COVID vaccines to lower transmission rates

Vaccination with BNT162b2 reduces transmission of SARS-CoV-2 to household contacts in Israel

For what it's worth I also haven't seen data that states that vaccinated people with breakthrough cases are as infectious as unvaccinated people with symptomatic cases (PCR tests only determine the presence of viral DNA/RNA)

40+ million had covi
600k+ died
...that's 0.6% death stat(with/without vaccine)...if those other virus had similar death stats, then it would be accurate comparison

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I was uncomfortable and even after getting the vaccine, I’m still uncomfortable because I don’t know long term effects. What could possibly happen in the future with this thing
If that can help, nothing happens long term with vaccines.

The only thing they do is trigger an immune response so your anti bodies remember the threat in the future. And even this can wane which is why there are certain vaccines that need to be redone every 10 years so your memory cells get a reminder.

The very agent of the vaccine is out of your body in less than a week after the injection. If within 2 weeks, you dont have an adverse effect, then there's nothing you'll ever get from that vaccine. You'll be safe breh.

United States COVID: 43,950,102 Cases and 709,221 Deaths - Worldometer

1.) 600,000/43 million is actually 1.4%. You forgot to multiply by 100 to get the percentage

2) there have been 709k deaths and 34 million cases that had an outcome. You can't use the active case count to come to your mortality number. So the real percentage is 2.08%

I'm always open to corrections....98% survival for polio/small pox/measals would get the same treatment/outlook as covid is getting, which was the point

In any other context, a lot more people would feel a way about the way Isaac was portrayed in the Rolling Stone article.

Compare how the Rolling Stone journalist quoted his views (made his decision after studying black history and Donald Trump press conferences) compared to how he articulated them and there's a wide gap. Journo clearly wanted to make him seem like an ignorant moron.

He is getting tested every day, so even in chance his prior immunity from infection wanes, it would be picked up if he was positive. What exactly is the controversy about at this point?
