Even without vaccination, this is the survival rate for some disease that all children get vaccinations for:

Rubella: almost 100% survival rate
Chickenpox: 99.999% survival rate
Measles: 99.99% survival rate
Mumps: 99.98% survival rate
Polio: 99.95% survival rate
Rotavirus: 99.94% survival rate
Hepatitis A: 99.5% survival rate
Whooping Cough: 99.4% survival rate

Covid: 98.6% survival rate


Note that those are the survival rates WITHOUT vaccination. That's the level of death that had people saying, "Damn, everyone should get vaccinated for this!" And yet people want to act like Covid ain't no thing when it's over 100x more deadly than measles and 30x more deadly than polio.

And beyond percent survival, Covid has killed far more Americans in the last year than ALL of those diseases combined ever killed in any year.

Covid is a MUCH more deadly disease than polio, measles, mumps, hepatitis, etc. A lot of the reactions claiming that 98 or 99% survival is a high rate were just plain idiotic. This is easily the worst epidemic of our lifetimes and you have to have your head in the sand and be completely misinformed to argue otherwise.

Not sure why you quoted me. I’m assuming you misinterpreted my message. Polio, smallpox, measles…they leave physical, noticeable reminders of infection. COVID for the most part does not…people don’t see COVID survivors in wheelchairs paralyzed, or with boils all over, scars on their skin and face. If they did they’d be lining up wanting the vaccine. I even said COVID was infectious and dangerous, but the part people see don’t make it look as scary.

Idk man. The main reason is I have been dealing with heart problems for the past 5 years, taking multiple meds for it, and with all the misconception about the vaccine, I just don't feel comfortable taking it right now.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure the vaccine in general is safe, it's just how it's gonna interact with my body that I am worried about. .

After I do more test on my body, and start my new job next year than I will take the risk

Posts like these show that many people who don't want the vaccine currently are not coming to that decision from a bitter and hateful place but moreso I find the root cause of most vaccine resistors is "Fear".

People are scared of trusting the government

People are scared of what the future implications are

Bruh, there are a ton of other variables outside of weight and health (which is a little harder to compare across decades, how do you quantify that?). For instance, some of those diseases that were listed affected kids moreso than adults.

Secondly, if covid existed back in the 1940s - 1950s it would really be wrecking shop. Imagine trying to treat severe covid when steroids (dexamethasone specifically), ecmo machines, ace inhibitors, and monoclonal antibodies didn't exist.
