Because that’s not exactly how business works when you have minority owners.thats besides the point man... i dont see any of the family owned teams going to anyone outside the family. the maras still own the giants steinbrenners yankees, the buses the lakers etc etc. also you telling me he couldnt find a coalition of black buyers???

If Bridges doesn't get suspended and LaMelo doesn't get hurt I feel like MJ doesn't sell. It felt like that franchise was finally making forward progress last year.

Why do people sell majority stakes in any business? To cash out and move onto the next thing. Jordan wasn't gonna keep a franchise for symbolic purposes, which is pretty much why anyone would want him to keep it (damn sure not because of results).
Mind you, Jordan will still have a stake in the team. He just won't be majority owner.

It's really unfortunate that the only black owner in the nba is about to sell his team. Other black entrepreneurs look up to mj, this a damn shame tbh. Majority black league and all the owners will be white? Some bs
I know about that cash out shyt that doesn't need to be explained to me. He fought like hell to get an NBA team and it finally happened. Minority Owner is not the same as being the only black majority owner of a professional sports franchise...
