Credited for hustling?:what:

What's the point of hustling for a rebound if you're just gonna dribble the clock out? Why should be be credited for that?
Because if he doesn't get that offensive rebound (again something he shouldn't be able to do off a free throw), then the Warriors get the rebound and are able to take a final shot.

He was right under the basket and forgot the score. He's a professional player. He has to know the situation. George Hill missed the free throw, but Smith had a chance to win it. The Internet makes his antics cute when in reality he's a dumbass.
He should've known the situation, but the commentary that it's his fault that they lost is silly. He hustled and gave them an opportunity that they shouldn't have had.

Its cool to place blame on JR but HIll is the one that missed a free throw and no one else called for time out either :yeshrug:
Main difference is Hill wasn't trying to miss but JR doesn't know the score so his mistake is bigger since he could've went up and still scored or called a timeout but since he didn't know what the hell the situation was, shyt was curtains.

It also kinda looks like he said “I thought we were out...”, like maybe he thought they were out of time outs :manny:

I still think Bron should have been on the block to get that board instead of back at half court. He probably would have had a better chance to make the correct play and win the game if he and Jr would have switched places during the FTs:francis:

Bron was trying to shoot a 3

If george hill made the fts the play wouldn't have even happened in the first place
JR made a dumb play but the game would have been won in OT if the cavs didn't give up

They had nothing else left, because Bron had nothing else left. He willed them into that position, they were poised to win. Going into OT was basically an auto loss given the circumstances.

Yeah but anyone could have called a timeout but they didn't. He made a great play in getting the rebound in the first place. To me, the blame should be placed on Hill for missing it and not JR after getting the rebound

Breh you're never gonna get "credit" for doing a bonehead play that negates what got you there.

i.e. a player doesn't get "credit" for driving to the basket in the final seconds to draw a foul if he turns around and misses the FTs

Everyone is going to blame JR but this loss was on Coach Lue. He could have called a TO.

Honestly, this is a great point that's being lost in all this. As soon as JR started going away from the basket (or even as soon as he touched the ball, given it's JR) coach should have been screaming for a timeout

But the missed ft didn't lose the game because JR did get the rebound and could've easily scored, but he didn't know the situation.

His team was shocked he did what he did and fukked em up and the time out was delayed. You're right as well but JRs mistake shows why not having your head in the game is deadly.

This stood out. No class whatsoever. They barely escape on the stupidity of JR smith and yet the crowd and some of the GS players were dancing and shyt like they were in a blowout. I haven't seen lame shyt like that since the Miami fans left the stadium at the end of a finals game thinking it was over.

Just trash tier fans all around.
Exactly. How can an entire arena & players be so fukking ignorant and disrespectful to how dominant this breh was.

You don't NEED to call a timeout if everyone has the BB IQ to take advantage of an under the rim rebound.

You don't give Steve Kerr & the Warriors squad a chance to set up a defense on the inbound if you have the shot creators who can make something happen when the defense is confused.

It wasn't a bad decision to not call the TO... it was absolutely HORRIBLE to not be aware of what's going on in the game.

When JR started going away from the basket it became apparent that he DIDN'T have that IQ. And again, this is JR we're talking about, we all knew before this play that he lacked that IQ, why doesn't his coach know that?

Lue has to call a timeout in that situation.
