just saw a clip from love & hiphop w/ juelz girl asking jim for a verse for this project and jim said "juelz is a song holder." thought it spoke volumes to his career. all that blaming cam for holding him back and as time goes on we see the problem was him. i dont get it. looks like he has material, he just didnt release it. maybe his work ethic is solid, but his follow through on the business side is where he falls short.

havent listened yet, but this sounds just like when jr writer went to jail.

Stay in the game long enough, your crew will diss you :yeshrug:

Ask Jay, Nas, Snoop, 50, etc. You can make somebody a millionaire or create all the opportunities and still somehow get blame when they hit rock bottom.

I swear nikkas got being signed to a label confused with being adopted. They really be thinking you have to support them financially for the rest of their lives. Cam a businessman, even if he say family in an interview it’s still business. As long as you understand that then there should be no issue with the relationship.

To quote lyrics from Cam favorite rapper Nasir Bin Olu Dara Jones:

“How you a man waitin' for the next man to get rich?
Yo' plan is to stick out yo' hand real quick
So if he feed ya family and he serve you shyt
Then he need that head you get and he deserve your bytch
Since you wishin' cash fall from the sky all ya life
Dwellin' on the past when you was alright
When you was gettin' cash but wasn't too bright
Now ya luck down you feel like, bustin' them shells
Nobody owe you, can't do nothin' for self
Want nikkaz to show you, how to come up wit' green
I scheme since I'm fourteens, what the fukk was your dream?
Rental cars, little broads, sayin' you was seen
Wit' little nikkaz wit' a chain you was doin' ya thing
How high was I? You the thousandth guy
That came around thinkin' we can see, eye to eye
We on a different echelon, coulda got bread together
Now you gets deaded on”

It’s definitely a blurred line. Puff made a good point once. He said you hardly see artists get mad and publicly blast the Clive Davises, Tommy Motolas, and Jimmy Iovines of the music business. But because he (Puff) looks and dresses like the artists and is in the clubs with them, they act totally differently with him when there’s a business disagreement.

He’s right however I can see the other side too. 1. some black folks assume that other black folks won’t do em greasy in business like crooked racists (false) 2. If the CEO is always acting like the employees are his peers/homeboys, it does send mixed signals

Cam gotta be a funny style nikka behind the scenes or something :patrice:

Everybody that he has worked or been friends with has had a falling out at some point :francis:

Jim, Vado, Lz, JR. , Mase , etc.

I always used to write it off as nikkas being babies, but Im noticing a pattern here :manny:

Cam always try and flip it on em and play innocent too

He is a funny style nikka behind the scenes. Where there's smoke, there's fire.

Actually let's look at it like this.

1. How many people claim Cube jerked them? How many associates complain Nas ain't look out for them? What about Jay? What about 50?

2. What about Mase? What did 50 say about Mase? What did Mase say about Diddy? How well did Harlem World work out?

3. How well did Vado do with interscope? Where did Vado get when he was around Mase first? Where did he get with Khaled? Jae Millz?

Can anyone even name a Vado song from when he wasn't associated with Cam? What exactly did Vado allege?

4. Didn't Writer explain Cam told him to write for Juju and he refused?

5. Didn't Juelz have issues with Taj Mahal? Where's skullgang at right now? What happened to Un Kasa? How much was Juelz helping Writer when he got jammed?

6. Didn't Jim and Juelz publicly go on stage with 50 while 50 was beefing with Cam? Wasn't Cam just defending Dipset?

7. Before double up, chickens go cluck, oh boy, hey ma, what means the world to you remix etc who the fukk was Juelz?

8. Before Cam blew up who was Jim Jones?

9. How well did Jim handle Max B and Stack Bundles?

10. How much better did Juelz do after Cam freed him and let him be wholely on Def Jam?

I just assumed this was gonna be over the Eminem “Stan”....but Dear Mama is actually even sadder :mjlol:

Far as the Juelz track, I’m not sure what exactly he’s mad at Cam for...can’t be no industry shyt? He hasn’t been signed to cam I over a decade...was he flat out asking for cash to hold him down while he’s locked up or something

Exactly. Cam broke bread and put nikkas on game, once their own shyt didn't pan out, they wanted to blame him and bite the hand. Dipsets problem is that there was too many nikkas who wanted to be boss status without putting in a bosses work. That shyt was clear from all the shyt ton of different sub groups, everyone wanted to be captain but expected Cam alone to steer the ship. The music business is that, a businesses. nikkas who fell to the wayside only have themselves to blame, especially Juelz. As I said before, he had the opportunity to be as big as Wayne and pissed it all away fukking off. Enough said.

What's funny...or not so funny is all the bad decisions that Juelz specifically made as compared to anyone else...as well as things that weren't exactly decisions

Juelz choosing specifically to stay at Def Jam

Juelz specifically choosing to do that song when he knew the label didn't want it

Going on stage with 50

Dissing Russel Simmons' son for no reason

Deliberately daring the ceo and president of Def Jam to shelve his shyt in a video mocking his artist

Wayne recording all new songs for ICFMF and them ending up becoming inahb2 tracks

I've also always thought that ever since dj S&S had said that LA Reid had a policy where if the album wasn't ready when he wanted it....it's not coming out. Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case here.

Don't forget that Juelz only did the hook on welcome to New York city because that's all he came up with trying to write a verse in the time Jay and Cam did there's.

Juelz complained that a lot of those Wayne verses were on songs that were also featured Juelz. Notice that we never hear any leaks or anything. Even if Juelz couldn't officially do verses (which I think is complete bs) I think he could have easily hit the mixtape scene.

Lz said he was supposed to go out to Hawaii and work on mbdtf but chose not to after the Cam diss to Ye...only for Cam, Jim, and Vado to appear on a song with Ye for Good Friday.

Juelz claiming he asked Game permission to hop on the one blood remix. Remy Ma literally only has a career because of her forcing herself on tracks that weren't intended for her. Maybe if he had the balls she did he'd be in a better situation right now.

The sizzurp shyt

Publicly dissing Jay over a rumor he no showed the bet awards in protest of Chris Brown after he beat the living shyt out of Rihanna

Never putting out the song with him, banks, jada, and Fab.

This man got to be on hey ma, oh boy, songs with tip, the ballin remix, beamer Benz or Bentley, the carter III, etc

I feel few artists get the ball as much as Juelz did only to fumble it.

Damn you went in, but to the bolded, yo I wanted to hear that song so bad, I remember he described it and it sounded fire. He said he sampled that song with the British girl where she says take me to New York. Damn Juelz
