Yeah breh, you can literally remove Hakari and Kashimo from the whole adaption and nothing of real meaning would be lost, that shyt is crazy

one of the best culling game fights tho i need to see that crashout with sukuna/mahoraga level of detail

there are quite a few characters that could've been removed from this entire thing but there's no fun in that

did we really need Mei Mei to exist? ui ui by himself was enough

Part 1 is gonna be all intro to the real CG and Part 2 is gonna be full on fights. Part 1 basically has the last real Ws the gang gets until the fukkery of the last arc (I don't count Naoya or Kashimo as meaningful Ws)

I'm going with the theory that Part 2 ends with Gojo getting unsealed and basically telling the viewer "we have a month to prepare and then I'm fighting Sukuna" so they can build hype for the final season (or movies).

But Part 2 could also end with Megumi getting Sukuna'd. I guess it will depend on how slow the pace for Part 2 is and how much new stuff they wanna add to it. I think the smarter move is getting Gojo back so anime onlys have hope before the last arc, that way they can build the hype for it regardless of JJK trolls ruining Gojo's death for some people. If you end with Sukuna/Megumi, you don't really have a hype point for the final season unless they wanna spoil Gojo coming back in the teasers which would defeat the purpose of not ending Part 2 with that.

That's a huge amount to adapt though They seem to like ending each season with full on depression BUT, if they do a movie thing like Demon Slayer I can see Gojo being teased or released. Gojo vs Sukuna is straight movie shyt

Yeah but like I put a couple of post above, it can be done. Those 16 fights can be adapted in 12 eps without losing anything of real weight. Most of the CG fights are 1-3 manga chapters so a lot of them will be intertwined in the same eps or last 6-12 minutes...or just straight up be skipped.

You ain't wrong about Mei Mei, I wonder if we'll get the useless Simple Domain stuff from the last couple of chapters in anime form

NGL, a part of me wants Mappa to keep it as the manga as a troll move, just to read the reactions to it

But in all honesty,they'd be dumb to not give that fight at least some screen time inbetween Sukuna one upping every plan and the gang having a contingency plan via flashback for every one uppage

that and Gege already knew at that point they'd be the ones animating it so he probably left it off screen cuz it's easier to let them make it look as cool as possible, he was pretty insecure about his own ideas

I’m just watching to see how they end this season. I was thinking they end it when Sukuna takes over Megumi’s body but since they split the season into part these mad men might end it at Gojo’s unsealing.

It'd be great if he was up for that, but the way the story fell off the rails I don't see it.

Entire characters obviously made to bloat the story while he figured out what he wanted to do. Examples being the art guy, the girl megumi was interacting with who was aligned with reggie, the biggest walking manga/anime trope in the sorcerer who took over his sisters body

The energy source, black ops army invasion subplot that went absolutely nowhere

It would take a lot to salvage what he did to the story

Yeah, there's things the anime adaptation can do to make the ending more enjoyable and basically do a bunch of smoke and mirrors so fans don't really question or care too much about the plot.

There's characters that shouldn't be more than a cameo or get skipped so folk don't question what was the point of them like in the manga. I'd be shocked if the U.S military gets involved in the anime because that shyt made no sense and went nowhere, and I don't think anyone wants original content to expand on what the manga couldn't

But stuff like Gege OD'ing on binding vows to work around his own power system and the "1 month of preparation" being used as a tool to explain every contingency plan against Sukuna are things that I have no clue how can be fixed, lol.

I still laugh at the fact that Gege publicly stated he wanted the Culling Game to be about Megumi and his sister as the driving force and how badly he failed at it. You read that shyt and that relationship is like the 8th most important thing until the last fight of the arc what the hell was jreh thinking when bloating the arc with stuff that had nothing to do with Megumi?He didn't even do a decent flashback for them and it was supposed to be his main goal?

for a LONG time (and arguably still) the best MHA content and writing was in the non-canon movies and filler - and that author ended up incorporating some of that until the real run and the spin off after the fact. demon slayer anime gasses up a LOT of shyt from the manga that was straight up mid too. black clover, etc

this franchise is gonna get milked regardless - may as well let them fix the parts that need it.
