Binge read till the newest chapter, which should be the end of the first volume and you can see Gege actually trying with this one. Much clearer themes being tackled, using the Jujutsu world to talk about very current political and societal issues
Having said that, if this is truly only gonna last 3 volumes, then it's setting up to be a political/spy thriller and not a battle shonen

and that means Gege gotta put all his efforts into plot and dialogue...and so far he continues to show he can't help but doing too much exposition.
I salute the effort but execution ain't lighting the world on fire either. We'll see how the next 10 chapters go.
PS: They said they "need" to find Itadori so humanity has a chance against the aliens so Gege continues to have that ace up his sleeve
@Ironman though I still believe that if it's his call, Gege wont use him and we wont even have a big fight in this whole series
