Jump rope is much better exercise for the amount of time you have to do it. 10 minutes of jump rope is equal to running an 8 minute mile.

that said, you will get jumpers knee if you don’t prepare your legs properly. Each day, before you start, you need to do about 10 minutes of squats, leg raises, and other exercises focusing on your knees. Do that for a couple months and your body will adjust to the stress you’re putting on it by jumping every day.

also, don’t try to be a hero out the gate. Start by doing 200 skips a day, let your body adjust, and slowly work your way up to a higher number (I currently do 1200-1600 per day, depending on the day).

Both are Good but I think Jump rope is better IMO.

Buy you a rubber mat to jump on to soften up the impact on you knee. Also do some accessory work to strengthen those muscles around your knees.

To key to jumping is jumping just high enough to allow the rope to go through. I see way to many people jumping like they about to grab rebounds.

The best non legs cardio you can do is battle ropes, it’s intense cardio and builds your stamina and arms. Another decent option is rowing, stair master is good too not that heavy of impact on your knees cause you’re always stepping up, finally walking the treadmill on a high incline. There’s this popular treadmill workout called 12/3/30 basically 12 incline/ 3 speed/ 30 minutes.

Jogging and especially jump rope are not good options in your situation
