I know people who have trouble installing the most basic things to their computer. I know how to install kodi but I also know that for example my mother would not bother to install kodi before getting frustrated with it.
The AVERAGE consumer would get frustrated with the lack of immediate functionality of kodi and wouldn't want to bother with that shyt.
Kodi is a nice alternative but still not perfect or as streamlined as streaming services.
How is that something to disagree with? More people are using Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu than Kodi for a reason. Also most people don't mind paying a 7-14 dollar a month for immediate access to content on a variety of devices. Its not an exorbitant expense.

Yeah netflix is major....but there have been a shyt load of people finally finding out about Kodi....these developers are asking for donations for their server....I remember when it was XBMC and yeah people knew about it but not like it is now.....
The dmca is constantly locking down on that ass, and its distribution channels are nowhere near netflix quality. But it does have all the shows when it does work

People are paying people like myself for the Kodi hookup....I install it on a firestick and give them whatever they want...sports, live tv, porn etc...just because someone doesn't want to spend the time to set it up doesn't mean they can't find people and spots to do it for them....plus kodi is free...no subscriptions to anything unless you want to integrate shyt...

The "other" streaming services you reference are pirate sites, not legit companies. Netflix original programming only appears LEGALLY on Netflix. Why is this so hard to understand?
I think you're letting your individual fandom get in the way of a very objective understanding for why Kodi will never be a direct rival to netflix. Why would I waste time to hire you to set something up when if I don't mind using some disposable income, just pay 14 dollars upfront to get immediate and very easy access on mobile and stationary devices?
The average person don't even know what Kodi is tbh.
I say this as someone who uses Kodi.
Kodi is not a streaming service bruh. Y'all keep bringing up shyt that operates outside the confines of the law.
I don't need Kodi. I pay for Netflix, HBO, and IMAX movie tickets.
