I think you're letting your individual fandom get in the way of a very objective understanding for why Kodi will never be a direct rival to netflix. Why would I waste time to hire you to set something up when if I don't mind using some disposable income, just pay 14 dollars upfront to get immediate and very easy access on mobile and stationary devices?

The average person don't even know what Kodi is tbh.

I say this as someone who uses Kodi.
I never said Kodi would rival netflix but it is better...a good majority of people have it on the West Coast....there are mom and pop shops which even offer to install it...the selection of movies, TV shows and the live tv option is a decent sell once you inform people what it is....yes the average person does not know but $14 a month as opposed to paying a one time install fee for a product that is better....is why alot more people are finding out about Kodi and other apps like Mobdro....

Kodi is not going to kill netflix. Thats all I originally said and was arguing. We seem to agree now.

Also lets not act like a lot of kodi add-ons, especially the Live TV sections, aren't constantly dealing with dead links or getting shutdown since its technically not legal. As that shyt becomes more popular, if it does, it will come under more scrutiny and that problem will only get worse.

Combined that's like $30 a month, I will gladly pay it. It's only a waste to people who can't afford it.

I have Netflix stock in my portfolio, why wouldn't I pay for my subscription?
$30 is a waste of money to pay for subpar programming....and that is exactly what you are paying for....anything you can watch that u pay for I can also watch for free and in damn near the same quality....that's the only advantage u might have....good for you on your netflix stock...I have stock in more diversified things....

I need my BluRays delivered to my door in those red envelopes and I need my streams w Dolby surround sound and closed captioning.

$30 a month is not going to sway my decision. I want the convenience and quality without having to worry if someone's server gets taken down

Netflix has high potential for growth long-term. Naysayers in here are thinking short term. If you wanna flip the stock I would understand. I'd hold honestly. Streaming will continue to be the wave for some time and trust when I say Netflix will always have a seat at the table.

Y'all in here comparing Kodi to Netflix? I have seen everything. Kodi is alright. But dcma is not gonna let that reign here in the states forever. Overseas they tend not to give a shyt. Netflix isn't bothered by Kodi. If they were two dudes on the street they wouldn't fukk the same women nor run in the same packs. Similar but not nearly the same.

Yeah netflix is major....but there have been a shyt load of people finally finding out about Kodi....these developers are asking for donations for their server....I remember when it was XBMC and yeah people knew about it but not like it is now.....
Kodi can't become an IPO because most of its content is pirated tv networks*. How would they make money? Or was that not what you were arguing...
