to the OP

How about destroying the houses and wait for the city to "turn around" and resell land with nothing on it ready for a brand new house?

How HIGH can the tax be in a city where nothing works anymore? Taxes are also based on property VALUE. since there is none left...

man this nikka a internet character prolly somebody just crackin jokes

you can get these houses tax free in october and you would be a fool if you think all these house goin for 1$, its some nice shyt in some nice areas goin for way more and they most def worth it

the media only show literally the slums of detroit but it aint like that everywhere its some pictures in the HL thread i took

More power to Detroit if they can get some of those abandoned houses purchased by people who want them. But I still don't forsee a critical mass of people moving back to detroit in the next decade. Too many better living options out there.

I have been considering this but I have never been to an auction for a house. Do I need to be there in October or can I bid online?

I didnt say every crib in detroit is abandoned, but the ones in this special auction I'm sure they are abandoned and stripped of pipes, etc
The people buying these homes are real estate speculators or people thinking they will flip these houses. I dont forsee that happening.

Alot of these cheap homes sit in neighborhoods that lack basic infrastructure like street lights, let alone grocery stores and what not.

Some billionaire gonna have to buy a couple square miles and convince the City to give him carte blanche to develop how he/she wants.

http://www.co.wayne.mi.us/deeds.htm

from what i been told, you can place your bid in september thats when they start but you might be able to beforehand

you will be payin them taxes off tho in the September auction . in October they goin tax free

i would call them though first tho , i heard you can watch who also bidding and up the price its not a blind auction where you dont know

i would come here, do some homework, then go from there.

you right but lol why would anybody wanna make a power move and be cheap about it?

i assumed a person interested in buyin a crib would be willin to spend money

i think people automatically think every crib and neighborhood in detroit is fukked up and poor.

doin your homework is important just liek any other crib

Da city where the skinny nikkas die
just realize that no matter what you want to do, you can't do by yourself. you're gonna have to link up with some foreigners or some people with money, and buy up NEIGHBORHOODS. not single houses

if it was so easy everybody would be doing it. that's something people gotta realize.
