Vince McMahon's "n" word moment is trending on Twitter as well as other questionable moments. People who know nothing about wrestling are now seeing it for the first time. And whether or not you thought it was "comedic" moment or not, the faux outrage will likely be overkill.

I mean on some level wrestling has always revolved around stereotypes, and that goes for not only black wrestlers, but Hispanic, Asian and many white wrestlers too who had a certain look.

This might be the end brehs.

Sh*t might go from tv-pg to Y7. :patrice:

I'll stand by a point I made earlier today that they'll say it's a part of the storytelling and move on (but might push a black wrestler or two). This overly PC society will definitely blur the lines but in the end the questionable racial stuff the E has done was part of the show and it should be viewed separately from 'real life'.

shyt's about to get mad serious, especially with the history of cism that's about to come to the forefront.

Sad day, but a necessary one.

I agree....but my thing is, I've heard ppl use racism against wwe for having Godfather (a black guy) as a pimp.

I mean I get the argument, but would a white character really have succeeded/fit in that role?

Some ppl got mad at John Cena being a rapper and dressing the way he did back. But if John Cena was black they'd get accused of pushing stereotypes.

I just think it's a fine line.

Edit: can't believe I wrote hulk Hogan a letter after Earthquake crushed him. :mjcry:
nikkas prolly threw it away....or burned it :mjpls:

OP is jokes but he may be right. this will only make the WWE wanna be more pc.

on the bright side i'm sure there are gonna be a lot of black wrestlers that are gonna get a decent push soon.

All for brothers getting their opportunity, however this situation should not be the catalyst for it.

In my mind, the only bright side is that a racist has been exposed for what he truly is. "Real american", icon to millions, well we'll see what the people have to say. What support/non support he may garner after all is said and done is going to be interesting to see.

I don't see it being that big of a deal for the WWE. Like CM GAWD said, they're just spokes on the wheel & the wheel is going to keep turning. They just won't promote Hogan. They've done that in the past, so it's not a big deal. They'll probably honor him when he dies, but that'll be it. I do see them giving a non-white wrestler a bigger push though to help blow this thing over. Hopefully it'll be MIZARK because he deserves it.

It's a much bigger deal for Hogan. Is he capable of living without the spotlight on him? Can he live with his tarnished legacy?

I hope this is a scandal, more racists get exposed and it forces a change so the minority wrestlers can be in fairer conditions and also in terms of society. Wrestling hasn't advanced like some other areas, it needs to, lazy stereotyping and preduice needs to stop.
