it's not age -- your form was/is probably trash. arching of the lumbar spine, poor lockout, imbalances due to reverse grip, etc.

saying this as a breh whose conventional deadlift PR is 530lb:mjlit:. could probably add 50lb+ doing it sumo.

Probably bad form. You should be nearly as strong at 30 compared to when you were 25. If you were over 35 I would understand, though.

LOL at blaming bad form based on the ripe old age of 30. Just say you messed up, it's not that serious.
