IMO it's easily as good as the other two but it suffered from 2 things:

1. No Rocksteady, and I don't mean that affected the quality, I mean some people weren't gonna give it a fair deal no matter what solely off this fact.

2. It's too similar to "Arkham City". But that's a :manny: complaint to me because people loved "City". You got more of the same thing, what's not to like?

Fred.

:salute:. Def gonna get it....I love Batman. Nobody can f*ck with Batman if you think about it. They can't f*ck with Batman movies, They can't f*ck with Batman DC comics animated movies, they can't f*ck with Batman video games.. They can't f*ck with Batman villains.... :wow: at Batman.

OK
This game was my first platinum. Loved everything about it.
It's got my favorite action adventure combat system. At one point I was ranked in the top 10 in that first combat challenge room. This thread makes me want to play Arkham City now

i enjoyed Asylum better than City

Sandboxes are not always a good thing

plus nothing will top the Scarecrow set pieces

Just got this game recently myself during the psn sale. Been working on arkham city first. At 56% atleast. Already beat story, just on side missions. Will have to check this game out after then move on to the newer version, got that too.

great game, glad you finally got to play it....you should play the whole trilogy, all the games are great...

i see some debating AA or AC, i'll throw my 2cents in:

AC did everything better than AA, but the reason i can see people liking AA better is because there was almost too much shyt to do in AC...that game is huge...and sometimes less is more/better...i prefer AC, but cant go wrong with either...

also, people sleeping on origins....it easily has the best story outta the 3 games...and that shyt is just fun to play...especially as deathstroke....

I think a lot of people prefer "AA" to "AC" because despite all the improvements of "AC", and despite it expanding on the previous game in virtually every way, all of that isn't more impressive than playing "AA" for the first time. There was basically nothing like it at the time, and that first impression is hard to top.

That's how it is for me. I love both games but nothing beats the atmosphere of AA. It provided the definite Batman experience and had great and original boss battles. The boss battles are also a reason I didn't like AO too much. All of the boss battles seemed a little weak to me, except for the final battle which was very well done. It was just riddled with way too many bugs and it was just AC re-coated. I did enjoy the story alot though

In reality, there was only one REAL original boss battle in AA and it's just so happens to be the very one that's probably the very reason why some peeps may like AA over AC and that unanimously due to the Scarecrow boss fight. Outside of that very one, the other few boss battles were just pretty good at best. I remember some review sites and gamers rather were a tad disappointed in the final boss fight of AA ultimately being a re-skinned, rehash Bane fight.

Yeah you right I was tripping, for some reason I thought the Freeze fight was in AA. But I still got that problem with AO, in the DLC the freeze fight is the exact same fight as in AC, just I think 1 different object to use and a new suit.

Edit: The Killer Croc sequence from AA was dope to me

Yeah, the Croc fight was pretty decent too. I was going to mention that as well. But yeah, overall for boss fights, City beats out Ayslum by a few fights, though most would probably say the Scarecrow fight was the dopest among all the games thus far. That Freeze fight was really dope too though.

I loved both games but arkham city campaign was a lot shorter than asylum. I found asylum to be more story driven and absolutely loved the campaign and the whole atmosphere. Not to say that arkham city was less fun. I just found myself doing more open world shyt than actually following the story.

Where arkham city really shines is how much the gameplay improved over asylum.

Both classic games IMO and a must have game for any gamer.
