ya'll think Orton is good now? But y'all missed when he was at his best....his Legend Killer heel run..and his initial heel run>>>>>anything he's done the past 2 years
legend killer was too big of a role for someone with orton's personality/lack of charisma.Looking at his career and all his phases his best character was when he was a stone coldesque viper terrorising and punting the mcmahons being a tweener. That was the only time in his whole career he had full grasp of his character, was in the top program and had the fans buying in

Nah...Raven was the best thing next to the nWo? No chance. The cruisers, Goldberg streak storyline, Hall harassing Larry...

I hadn't watched wrestling since I was in middle school around '07 or so but got pulled back in this year around February. Was randomly browsing Youtube watching old Raw episodes and saw The Shield vs Wyatts Elimination Chamber match listed. I'd never heard of them, but those guys in that match had me :leon:. Even though financially WWE has taken a hit, I think this is the calm before the storm, so to speak. The future is bright with a lot of the new guys; Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, ext.. Hunter is also focused on getting new blood on the roster with NXT.

It'll never be the same as watching as a doe-eyed child completely oblivious to the in's and out's of the industry and the business/political side of things, but knowing how it works now adds a different perspective to the product. All things considered, imo wrestling is as interesting as it's been for years right now.

  1. Yeah, most of the matches are boring, especially in comparison to the attitude era matches I grew up on.
  2. I'm still disappointed by how lame finishers are. - I still don't understand how "the spear" and "running knee" are finishers. Finishers have the potential to make a superstar. I mean, just think about the The Undertaker's "Tombstone Piledriver" and how it's important to how a dude gets over.
  3. I'm kinda torn about John Cena. He seems to work his ass off in the ring and out, but the protective booking is out of hand and his "wigger" schtick is lame as fukk. I do bump "My Time Is Now" though.
  4. Daniel Bryan is not championship material. I said it before and I'll say it again
  5. Kind of glad CM Punk is gone. Wasn't impressed by what I saw of him
  6. Oh shyt, I don't know how I fukked this one up. I don't know what I saw in Randy Orton, but I take it back. Dude is the lamest dude in WWE. He's got a steez like a sleazy male stripper and is basically a glorified jobber for Bryan and Cena. I think I was fooled by how cold his entrance theme is and by the "RKO" being a knockoff of the "Diamond Cutter"
  7. I'm even more infuriated with how they do the women in the WWE, now that I've gotten to see how they've ruined Emma, paige, and just the "Diva" division with it's lame ass belt and their degrading storylines. It's just corny.
  8. And no, TNA is not good. I desperately wanted to like it, but it's even worst than the WWE, except for the women. At least their women are actual wrestlers.

That's going to need an explanation.

Implement more "crash tv" elements and step the announcing up. Attitude era had tons of bullshyt but it moved fast and kept you around cause you knew something hot was going to happen. These drawn out soliloquies that hardly involve the crowd at all are trash.

i tried recently as well shyt aint working. Last time i fully watched wrestling was probably before 9/11 lol. I didn't know stone cold went through that whole "what" phase so that's pretty much how long it's been since i payed attention. Seems now that everybody is intentionally corny. Like they have basically given up on trying to make it seem real. Guys like john Cena are basically a mockery and a joke but what forever reason he is their biggest star, that's almost like doink the clown being the biggest star or dude love being the biggest star.

i think this is fukking hilarious though

second dude ate the superkick

i was with you till you said dude love.
five faces of foley ushered in the attitude era inring, with a five star classic, with scsa
plus, is the exact template of what an attitude match is.

the problem is they have writers for sitcoms that would never be a draw on tv.
creating angles in wrasslin, when...
they should have wrasslers with a mind for booking, creating the angles and situations.

it still is not as good as roh tv was in 2009.
that wwe raided, outside of nigel, originally.

we can hope, that the wwe capitalizes on what they have in talent.
i kinda feel they are on to sumfin with a succssful shield disbanding.
yet, we have to see what happens with summerslam, first.
if brock gets the belt,...
then, db is still on the shelf.
we will have to sit through no payoff of any value.
unless, cm punk comes back.
when personally, it would have been really interesting if the wyatt's made championship sweep at mitb.
which put, cena in the chase to get sonned't.
yet, they say brock is coming back for ss.
so, we have to kind of wait and see.

:laff:

I wonder how many nikkas on here read this line like :dahell:

Yeah, I agree. That was totally fukked up on my part. I accept any and all clowning for making a hoe ass statement like that.

Dude, is a glorified jobber with no mic skills and Chippendales steez.

Agreed. that's the only reason I'm watching now.

The NXT folks are the only thing good about the company, but they're even fukking that up now.

They broke up The Shield and now are making Roman Reigns a Cena like mark ass face.

They're fukking up the Wyatt family. They got Bray jobbing to Cena and now he's distraced with Chris Jericho, who is lame now his damn self.

They screwd up Paige, Emma, Big E Langston, and Cesaro.

That's going to need an explanation.

He's too small, he doesn't have great mic skills, his finishing move is lame, that whole "Yes" thing is overexposed. He's okay in the ring, but I think the only reason he has the strap is to satisfy the IWC because CM Punk left.
