I don't understand why people can't acknowledge that the was a musical genius, and gave us timeless music, AND had, to generalize, questionable relationships with children.

Both can be true at the same time, and neither point automatically makes the other invalid. I'mma still bop to the classics when/if they get played (there's not a single person alive that can make it through Wanna Be Startin Somethin without at least a head nod or foot tap, for example), and then I'mma say he was nasty for hanging around little kids when the song is over.

And I keep that same energy, if not worse, for other musicians that have been on some suspect shyt too. I guess I've accepted that more than likely if you're gifted at some form of entertainment (including sports), chances are you're probably a shytty person of some variety.

I don't know that evolved is the word I'd use, but I'm always willing to listen to other views on anything. Even if I don't agree with it, it still helps to understand where someone's coming from. The way I see it, unless it's something crazy or harmful like racism, might as well see how the other person came to that conclusion. For all I know, maybe I'm missing something.
