You're saying he hasn't played 82 games and let him figure it out...

I'm asking if Winslow or Johnson get benched because the coaches feel like they're making too many mistakes would you be complaining ?
where did you see me complain about him being benched? I specially said heat fans and they need to give him time. I didn't mention coaches or playing time. get off your high horse and get the fukk on. :camby:

Check this out

That's highlights from that same Toronto game you're talking about.

The coaches kept seeing him mess up, breh. We don't notice but they do.

Read the article, cause after that Hassan really decided to focus more on his job
breh that's 2 gifs. lets see some gifs of wade lollygaggin back on D because he didn't get a foul call on the other end. or some gifs of bosh planted at the 3 pt line because he's tryin to be the 3rd member of the splash bros. and I really don't see how those 2 gifs are squarely on hassan. look at the 2nd gif....bosh doesn't even front scola....he clearly lets him drive to the hoop cause he knows hassan will be there. that's exactly what i'm talking about when I say the heat expect hassan to do everything. they want him to help out everytime they let their man blow by, but they also want him to grab boards and keep his own man in check. these dudes get lazy as hell when hassan is out there and the shyt has to stop. I know hassan still has a lot of growing to do, but the ony way he's going to improve on those things is by actually being in there. like alexander said....dude is pretty much just a 2nd year player right now. the level he's at right now is pretty remarkable considering his experience.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Hassan Whiteside is not above getting benched. That's one of the many ways to communicate with players... And guess what? It worked...

"It's a difference of five feet," Bosh said Sunday night. "For him, that makes the biggest difference in the world. For us defensively, it allows us to be able to cover so much more ground and have each other's back."

Whiteside listened, and because of that, Spoelstra finally felt comfortable leaving him on the floor for nearly the entire fourth quarter.

lol at these writers tryin so hard to give spo credit for this shyt. it's hilarious. again....spo benched hassan vs the raps and they slaughtered us under the basket. heat nation went ape shyt. from that game on, hassan has been playing 4th quarter minutes. spo got slapped with that reality check and could no longer make excuses for his bullshyt.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
From the game following the Toronto game:

.
“Hassan was terrific in the second half defensively,” Spoelstra said. “That's why I played him the entire second half. He was making so many plays — a lot of them that you saw, the blocks, the rebounds. But a lot you probably wouldn't see — the pick and roll coverages against dynamic three-point shooters. He was really covering a lot of ground. Probably, arguably, as much ground as he’s covered in a game defensively was [Sunday].”

Whiteside said he was playing a little differently defensively Sunday than he had been earlier in the season — namely playing up and further away from the basket on Portland’s perimeter shooters. He’s also said he’s trusting his teammates more to protect the weakside of the basket.

“I had to step out,” Whiteside said. “And I’m fine with that. Just stay around the three-point line and my teammates had my back. It’s just something I’m going to have to deal with. It’s not like the old days where bigs can just stay in the paint and just block a ton of shots.

“Those guys can get hot real early. So, I just had to step up on the screens. I felt like last game I didn’t step out enough. This time I told them I could do it. I told them just let me know if I need to step out on the pick and roll. I can do that.”

Hassan finally "got it".

The coaching staff is doing for his defense what they did for Lebrons post game.

Some things don't change unless they're forced

Let me be the first to say it, merry Christmas to all of heatwave :salute:. It's been real talking heat ball with you guys in 2015. Hope you guys get to have a great day too. I'm gonna be eating salted ham and jerk pork with some punch de creme during the game with my girl and her family.

Ugly win but we gotta take what we can get :obama:. If we could string a nice little streak into the new year maybe we can weather the storm and come out of January at least with a decent record
