What the hell Hassan was going to do with the ball with Gasol and Z-Bo playing defense on him ? :usure: Hassan doesn't know how to work his to way to the paint from the post, and it shows today against Memphis. You need to stop overrating Hassan. He lacks the fundamental skill and the IQ to be effective in the offensive end as the number 1 and number 2 option. :usure:
i'd take whatever hassan is gonna do over wade shooting fadeaway 20 footers and bosh shooting running floaters like he's tony parker. if wade and bosh would actually MOVE the ball late in the game, it'd be different. but everybody just stands around while they run out the shot clock and throw up some bullshyt.

I'm not someone that defends Spoelstra pretty much ever, but he was right about some of the things Hassan wasn't doing defensively early in the year. He was just looking to pad his block stats by waiting in the paint for drives and staying back on pick and rolls which isn't how the team's defense is supposed to be played. So when they played teams that went small or had shooting bigs they would expose that on pick and pops since he was just staying back. The message got through and he's done a lot better job the last few games in that area. At halftime of yesterday's game with Rothstein they showed clips of the difference in what he's doing now vs earlier on. So in this situation, I do have to side with Spo. He's doing a better job of those things and it's being reflected in his minutes.

We had prime Bron, Wade and Bosh and STILL would go long stretches struggling to get a fukking basket but yet its not the fukking coach's fault
that should really be enough to know spo is the worst coach in the league. had 3 future hall of famers and can't come up with even a DECENT offense?....dude is a joke.

I agreed with the latter that we need more ball movement and dispose the hero ball, but likewise Hassan wasn't going to do shyt with the ball in the 4th quarter.

Edit: our bench is giving us nothing. We can't keep praying every night for Gerald to make miracle 3's and for TJ to score 20. The bench needs some tweaking. We need to make some kind of move
TJ's been one of our more consistent players bench or starters. At this point, I don't think.it's too much to expect 12 to 18pts a night from TJ. I'd love to see Richardson keep getting minutes. But overall, we do need tweaking...

Exactly. He's getting there little by little offensively, but he wasn't gonna be the one to go off for us nor was he gonna be anymore of a positive for us as far as ball movement. Hassan is limited offensively. Ball movement would've been just as bad with Hassan on the floor.

he made a huge shot that tied up the game. it wasn't an easy shot either, it was a highly contested hook shot in gasol's face. the kid is improving. it aint gonna hurt giving him a few looks here and there. at the very least it will put pressure on the opposing bigs and maybe put em in foul trouble.

but fukk it. we still got a lot of time. and I don't care what anybody says, the cavs aint about shyt. they've taken a step back and lebron is playing the worst ball of his career. overall we match up great with them. everybody else in the east i'm not worried about. by the time the playoffs come around we'll be ready. spo is our only obstacle.

But its cool though...We'll just sit here and take L after fukking L and look like the EXACT SAME TEAM EVERY fukkING YEAR no matter what personnel we bring in and it still won't be the coaches fault according to these nerds :manny:

Spo gonna Spo and that will never change. :ld:

He is making it harder on himself when he doesn't position himself to receive the ball in the low post, and when he does receive the ball, his first instinct is to shoot a sloppy turn-around hook shot. :scusthov: He doesn't give himself time to look at the basket before he shoot the ball, nor take a glimpse at the defense before he reacts. He needs to hit the gym with Zo to work on his post moves. He should live in there until he polish his footwork. :ld:

I agree. I love Whiteside, and hope we do everything in power to keep him. I even hope we give him the Max if we have to. But Hassan isn't 2000-2004 Shaq. Gasol and ZBo are both great defenders, you can feed Whiteside like that and expect him to get 20 a game against a big front court like Memphis. Against smaller teams, yes..

The coach is easy to blame but he's not the one missing free throws and open shots.

If we had some better shooters our offense would look great.

Also:

When Hassan is on the court we score 5 points more per game but give up 10 more points per game.

That's not the affect a DPOY should have

Stop treating this franchise like we're the Dolphins with that "We'll be mediocre year after year" talk. We won 3 titles in the last 10yrs. We have new teammates, and everyone is still trying to figure each other out. What's happening to us right now isn't indicative of what's been happening year after year or of what's to come. We have fundamental problems with our roster, not just our coaching...

nobody's saying he's 2000 shaq. but neither was 92 shaq. I don't expect hassan to ever reach shaq level, but the point is, he's a 2nd year player. with not even a full year experience starting in the league. he's going to become a serious offensive threat eventually, but he has to get some opportunities first. I'm not saying give him the ball every time, but at least run some plays for him. we can't expect him to be in good position down low when he spends half the shot clock setting screens for everybody. we have to start giving teams different looks...our offense is predictable as fukk right now.
