Career won’t be remotely close to what it once was. Might as well cash out.

Why are several people assuming (wrongly) that an artist can't tour or perform their music after they sell the catalog?

There hasn't been a single deal announced like this that states an artist can't tour and perform their old music.

They're selling the rights to the music they've already made, they can tour and perform that music, and the rights to any new music they make after the deal is not included.

It's pretty simple.

His solo career was short....sounds like his N$YNC stuff might be separate from this so he's good.

$100 million feels low for him. He could have gotten $150m at least but a bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
