I don't know breh, I think last night is fools gold. Hear me out. The Giants were not doing what most other teams that faced the Eagles this year have been doing to shut down the run game (i.e. Stack the box with four line man or line backers and have the secondary play zone on the intermediate routes.). Giants were rushing four only and having the linebackers play coverage most of the night and the secondary playing Man Coverage mostly.
I think the interior of our o line without Kelce and Mathis is still questionable. The Giants coaches are just idiots
The Giants game plan on the defensive side of the ball was retarded

why not do what has been proven to work to stall the eagles offense.
I just hope especially since we may be without Sproles, That Chip and Shurmur do not think that they will get a repeat of last night and they spend this bye week trying to find a way to get Shady going when defenses stack the box.
I like the fact they were using the I formation more last night with Casey and Burton back there as lead blockers to help McCoy a bit.

I thought the mechanics were good last night

He trusted the offensive line to protect him, He was setting his feet (That TD pass to Ertzy was a real thing of beauty

) , He hit most of his throws. and was not forced to throw the deep ball which gets him into trouble and stalls the offense (and because the giants defensive strategy was retarded)
his decision making on those two picks were horrible and that is what worries me about him the most. I like that he has confidence that he can make a play. But sometimes the play is not there and you just have to throw it away. Don't force anything that is not there. Or you are about to get sacked, just get down, don't risk the fumbles or the injury. (Leave that for Romo).
Like you and I know, a turnover could dramatically turn a game and he has had too many of those bonehead turnovers this year. It has not caught up to him but the probabilities in football say that it will and it will cost them a game.
You are right I am liking our defense. Our defense is pretty solid, we have athletic pass rushers, and solid inside line backers.
Nate Allen is the one that worries me but since Malcolm Jenkins has been here as the primary coverage safety, it has helped so much. For years it was Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman back there and they were blowing coverages left right. Jenkins presence has put less pressure on Nate Allen and they are using him more in run support.
Williams and Fletcher I am not worried about as much, they are veterans and their pass coverage has not been horrendous (you don't really see them getting burned too often), as long as we generate a pass rush and don't leave them out there for long in man coverage, they are serviceable. (We still need to draft or sign a solid corner in the offseason tho. Boykins is really good in the slot so no worries with him.
