see this is the ugly side of corporate america. there might have been a time when something like this would have gone unannounced. i don't recall them doing a press release in preparation for the creation of goldust. i mean if they wanna take that chance, why not just do it? the surprise and controversy alone might generate the press they're looking for.

i guess this is just the "safe" play. it allows them to put a feeler out there.
