Why do these politicians make these education bills without talking to actual teachers and students?

Public schools are already underfunded and teachers are paid horribly, yet they're gonna somehow fund the staff for extended school daycare?

And the burnout and conduct problems would be insane after a week. I get what she's trying to do, but the school staff and students are going to be the ones with this one. Turnover rate is already through the roof.

It would be nice to be able to drop them off at school. Go to work, get off work, pick up the kids from school and go home.
But the schedules are currently off. I work from 8 to 5. School gets out at like 3:30. So from a parent perspective. great.
Now as a student or a teacher. Are they making good use of that extra time?I worry that the kids will be too tired to care about learning after a while.
they probably end up giving them longer breaks and just lengthen the school with alot of nothing.
What they should do is just shorten the work day to match the school day. We already take an 1 hour lunches when you work full time anyways. Reduce that to 15 minutes and let me go home 45 minutes earlier. 4:15pm. Then add an extra hour of school just for them to work on homework instead of taking that shyt home. Best of both worlds.
