So why does Cam shout out and say Kanye West on the track on Dipset Forever?
Him and Kanye still work together to this day. He produced on Donda. And I believe he might have gotten credit for Down and Out after the fact Brian "All Day" Miller

I had only heard about this a few years ago. I don’t remember what that other song sounds like, but Down & Out doesn’t really even sound like that Kanye era anyway other than the sampled hook.

Sometimes artists genuinely don’t know but used to see it happen a surprising amount of times as an A&R. A lot of times artists get beats from middle men and miscommunications happen.
