My question is this. For those that hate him with a passion...why do you pay attention to him or feel the need to comment on rants. It just proves his supporters are right in saying he's influential etc. You wanting another grown man, that you'll never meet or know, to fail so badly puts you directly in the same boat as him for having ho ass catty female tendencies. :yeshrug:

Like I said...just observing.

And Daymond started with $0 and ZERO Celebrity status...

Kanye has $50million and is a Celebrity POWERHOUSE....

I'm only taking the man by his words and past actions giving chances and putting on artists that we all like and influencing our generation heavy with college dropout. I was a Rawkus disciple. He brought Kweli mos and Hov to the same table and changed the game. The way he's become a force in hip hop spilled over to mainstream and now he's trying to spill over to fashion with hopes of institutionalizing a creative outlet as one of is normal folk who made it to such a level.

Jay-z was familiar with them prior to Kanye when they released their album together that was critically acclaimed. There wasn't a single person into Hip Hop in the 90s that had no idea who they were let alone peers.

He's trying to barge into fashion and thinking because he is good at music he is automatically good at fashion. Let's not sugar coat it that he is just trying to do it so one day you too could start DurrWear and compete with Tom Ford.

You say stanning or whatever I'm just commenting on what he's doing from an observing and objective point of view.

You are not being objective if you think hes a revolutionary or trying to do this for anyone but Kanye.....

Your personal feelings and mine have nothing to do with the fact that he's a force who refuses to stop and just might be blackballed or killed for it.

And as for other designers or creatives I'm not saying they don't have success, just saying Kanye is more ambitious and from his own words, isn't satisfied with having what the others have/had.

KILLED FOR IT?

fukking stop, you are putting him up their with real black leaders who did threaten power structures and social norms. Men who really shook the core of America and racist individuals. Not some guy trying to make leather jogging pants :snoop:

How to Make It In The Fashion Industry According to Kanye West
[x] Threaten the Billionaire CEO of LVMH
[x] Threaten the President of the United States
[x] Act a fool on the radio
[x] Put out a rap album, masked as music for the struggle, but is really just you crying about not getting accepted by euro fashion cacs

1. I never said they were irrelevant. I said he had these dudes on the same album. Of course everyone knew the BlackStar album. Invalid point. and another insecure reason to try to refute what i'm saying.
2. Whatever he thinks and does are his own business. But that's not the point. yet again the point is that he is trying to get the financial backing from a corporation so that he can prove that with the right funding he can make things that sell. But he wants to work for himself. And you are assuming to know what Kanye's hopes and dreams are. while I am simply listening to what he is saying. I don't/won't claim to know what any person truly thinks or feels.
3. I am being objective. He is denouncing corporations while trying to become one himself. He is the only human being I've ever heard of doing that. If it's an every day thing..then please enlighten me. So therefore my argument is objective.
4. You are the one comparing him to great leaders. I just stated a fact that those who go against the grain often times end up ostracized or dead. this is a universal truth.

..Oh and 5. I see you must've missed my post about a stranger who happens to be a celebrity make the bytch tendencies come out in you. :mjpls:. Just let the nikka live. and you go watch Black nativity or whatever that madea shyt is in the theater.

I respect what Kanye was saying here. He 'turned up' on Sway but it seemed contrived, like a staged rant. The message was legit enough. He was dropping some gems about ownership and control of distribution, manufacturing etc.

It's unfortunate that he feels the need to act out like a little brat for the media because it tends to obscure the actual knowledge being dropped.

Then again, it's probably a strategic move on Ye's part tho. Like he said, people that speak on this type of shyt typically get aired out ,so if he couches the real talk in-between these idiotic outbursts then most will just chalk it up as Kanye acting stupid again and keep it moving. :yeshrug:

Kanye is a very talented rapper/producer, nobody can argue that. Dark Twisted Fantasy was my fav album of 2010 to me.

But this man is argumentative for no reason. Shoutout Sway for not backing down. He's a humble guy and it's the first time I heard the man cuss - a lot of these PR people always back off from Kanye, Sway stood up :salute:
