So what could Kanye do to change that? If you're a rapper then your clothing line will only be as hot as you are. The hip hop crowd is as fickle as they come and sucking Ralph Lauren won't change that. The vast majority of people that wear Ralph Lauren and Louis Vuitton are white. They don't even market their shyt to nikkas. They don't get ad space in XXL asking nikkas to buy their shyt. They market their shyt to cacs and just because it cost a lot of money nikkas covet it.

Black people also don't realize there's a culture behind these clothing lines. at rocking Sperrys and never stepping foot on a boat. Not even in the summer time ..

It's incredible how this whole thing is centered around him not being able to "break into" the fashion industry as if he's entitled to that sort of "acceptance" from a group of people far more talented than he is. It's like some 2.3 GPA High school student being upset that an Ivy League School won't accept him.

All nikkas care about is that it's expensive. The quickest way to turn nikkas off of a fashion line is make it affordable. I remember when Stephon Marbury started his shoe line, dude made them shyts hella affordable and nikkas ignored it. Meanwhile they line up at 4AM to cop $200 Jordans that came out 20 years ago.

Black women also line up to buy $200 Jordans for their babies and teaching them that's how to spend their money while being poor. And Kanye wants to add to that buy providing nikkas with even more expensive bullshyt to buy.

Ralph Lifshytz also got backing from Neiman Marcus to start off his career. Kanye literally has few of us with even the ability to do that. I understand where he is coming from here. his whole point is these brands/corporations use these powerful celebrities to push their products...but they don't want to look at them as equals, and give them royalties/ownership etc....kanye doesnt want to keep doing collaborations with these companies...he wants to be part of them
