Sway was kinda saying what Marc Ecko was talkin about in his Breakfast Club interview, about building your own brand outside of the high fashion realm. But that's not what Kanye wants. His goal is to bring his brand into that that realm, and in order to do that you have to deal with those people. And these interviewers don't understand that, so I can understand his frustration.

Of course, his whole issue has no relevance to the average nikka but I recognize his stance and respect his passion

Ralph Lifshytz also got backing from Neiman Marcus to start off his career. Kanye literally has few of us with even the ability to do that. I understand where he is coming from here. I wonder how many of you guys making fun of Ye' love Pac. Pac was way more belligerent and ridiculous than Ye. He was a hypocrite that spoke about enlightening brothas at the same time killing them. Spoke about enlightening women at the same time calling them prostitutes.

This is a good parallel, but Kanye's fashion cause is less noble and more selfish than Pac's cause of empowering of black people as a whole.

Also, ASAP Rocky just came in the game and has worked on things with Raf Simons, so I think Kanye's rejection by people in that high fashion arena might just have to do with his image not fitting with their brand

why would Ye have to regress to making homeade fabrics and shyt. from my understanding Ye just wants a simple collaboration with some of these cats. Dude is willing to intern and everything so i dont get it. i hear what your saying because celeb endorsed clothing is extremely cliche and normally dont last long but i just feel like hes using hisnmoney/power to bypass some of the "grind" phase. so dude doesnt have the designs, and hasnt paid the dues, you know how many celebs and rich folks want to be associated with Louis Vuitton? They get this stuff all day every day, a hot for now celeb wanting to run sh!t is not some new phenominon for them... they arent going to be impressed they dont need his cosign...

The weird part is he said he chose Jay over Dame because he wanted to learn how to talk and be nice to people and become more well liked..He said Jay could teach him that while Dame was too brash and agressive too...

Under Dame Kanye was one of the most likeable people in pop music.(remember the Dave Chapelle appearnces?)..Under Jay he's become an anti-christ type figure thats polarizing across racial line...People from all walks of life hate the dude...

Yeah, I agree. That may just be the case. Cos like I said above, dudes like ASAP Rocky is fitting in well with that crowd. He doesn't have his own collections but he is working on things with those designers
