those urban labels never built an actual culture that was substantial.
to justify them drawing for a much longer period of time.
or,...were aligned or created with artist who lacked cultural relevancy.
the problem with urban labels is they never kept to appealing to the actual culture.
in the vein, that those other actual clothing labels appeal to an actual culture.
when, I think polo...
I think yacht's and equestrian.
when I used to think about ecko it was graf.
now, when I think about marc ecko..
I think about a clothing line that went to far to get acceptance.
in a market, it originally never was made to appeal to.
that is why urban clothing designs and labels never last.
they are not built around an actual action or component of the culture legitimately.
they are a brand, built to revenue grab.
after playing the role....which is why they don't last and are virtually extinct.
when it comes to the original incarnation of those types of business.
part of the issue with black clothing designers is black people who do not and are not allowed to create or have a culture.
so, it is difficult to build a high fashion line built off of lifestyle.
when black people have never been able to be viable to financially create.
their own actual lifestyle that is independent of racial inequality or economic strife.
