his gripe with the fashion industry as a whole, was that he could be an endorser, he could collaborate with lines... but when it came to having his own shyt, they weren't fukking with him.

This is a win for Adidas/Reebok without question, they've been snatching up rappers left and right... but for Kanye, it's apparently counterproductive for what he's supposedly trying to accomplish.

He's not talking about no sneakers or some t-shirts when he's talking about that, he's talking about high fashion, purses, heels, belts, blouses, button ups, slacks, etc.

Still, the fact remains is that he has the money to fund his own shyt... and could put out his own shyt, but chose to stay in the same capacity as an ENDORSER... and not an OWNER.

Kanye doesn't want to do the legwork in terms of production and distribution. He doesn't want to be paying top dollar for production and distribution if he can partner with a company like Adidas and use their methods and suuply chain. His main problem with Nike was the lack of royalties and respect re: release dates etc, I assume Adidas came to the party around release dates and it's been confirmed he is going to get his royalties.
