Breh, they used him to promote their line. He was cool with all these cats over there. Dude was being invited to these exclusive shows and siting next to them. These designers are nothing but a name and they hire a team that puts all the fly shyt together. Did you not listen to Kanye or are you too busy listening to that troll Charlemagne?

All these things don't mean your god's gift to fashion design though. You're basically saying because he has the connections that he should be able to just push whatever he wants. It doesn't work like that in the real world though.

If he's serious about having a top-level brand, the best option available is to do it on his own.

A Jew doesn't get mad at another Jew for trying to be a billionaire. We need to stop with this crab in a bucket mentality. Its good that a black man aspires to own and control more than he already has. Especially when he is not trying to acquire it through illegal means. Ownership and royalties is everything. Royal families across Europe still collect millions and billions of dollars for business ventures they did with elite movers and shakers in various industries. I'm sure there is some unemployed nikka that hates the nikka making $30k because he aspires to make six figures.
Go on with that shyt bruh. That nikka probably gets $2 for every album he sells at Def Jam if that. He ain't bytching about his slave deal that he's signed to. Nobody cares if the nikka makes a billion or not because what he eats don't make us shyt. His money won't trickle down to the ghetto. That white bish is going to end up with half of that shyt anyway. What's annoying to us is all the bytching and whining he's doing about cacs not letting him in their exclusive club.

Mark Ecko was on the Breakfast Club saying Kanye don't need no cacs to get his shyt off the ground. I'm not co-signing no nikka with the resources to do whatever the fukk he wants to do if he puts his mind to it but bytches instead. It's nikkas out there with no resources that I empathize for.

Bada bing..bada boom. For some reason, many blacks prefer to be consumers rather than producers and wonder why we are in the predicament we are in.
That's the key and he knows and those cacs are scared of his potential and smartly won't let him use their platforms in a competitive not so much creative.

Like you said nikkas just want to consume and not produce. I clearly get what Kanye is saying but he couldn't articulate it at that very moment.

Charlamagne just trolling now...

I understood everything this nikka is saying. A lot of his anger comes from the lack of respect and racism he perceived from these corporations.. or black people have received period. Im starting to think the whole "Beyonce/Taylor Swift" thing was him thinking thee picked that video over Beyonce's was racist

And Charlamagne is like "fukk the corporations man" but these corporations are the same ones that are feeding BIG MONEY into other corporations that practice the same kind of greed, hate, and racism. They want Kanye to make just music and Kanye is looking past music...

But good luck with that nikka, sounds like a tough task :salute:

If the corporations are holding him back and practice greed, hate and racism why deal with them.

I'm sure most of the companies he named (like Ralph Lauren etc.) didn't have the money or connects he has when they started. He needs to put in the work to be mentioned with the greats and stop bytching, just like in any other industry

I also think they missing the point with him trying to do things within these big corporations instead of forming his own, smaller, mom/pop type brands.

Thats why he's not trying to go the Roca Wear or the Sean John route.. this nikka trying to take over a portion of those privately owned fashion companies, not just be a part of fashion. It's not about money as much as it is about kicking down LV, Nike, etc doors and letting him in.

Rocawear and Sean John were HUGE successes but mainly to the black community. He's trying to be a black man with huge successes within anyone's community. He wants a wealthy white woman to look at a piece of clothing from a brand he sponsored and pay $5000 for it instead of it being vice versa for us... They're the ones making bread and thats why we're slaves to Brands
real shyt. small minded people wont understand this

Well obviously those people only see him as a name and don't respect him as a creative in the fashion world.

And u did not answer the question. Why would these billon dollar corporations just let him kick down the doors that he haven't earned????

IDK nikka, yo should tweet him or something and ask him

I just said I understand what he's saying. And maybe he doesn't want to end up like Rocawear and Sean John... like I mentioned before. Bigger backing = bigger product to bigger audience

And it's not every corporation holding him back... LOOK AT ADIDAS. Company's are about money, Adidas has been 3rd class to Nike for forever. They will give him all the resources and backing he could need to help put them back on the map... or at least get an edge over Nike

Dude just wanted a bigger/better platform to show what he has, and if successful, it could lead to even bigger platforms.

He hasn't done shyt... YET

Thats his point. He's not even getting the opportunity to do so because they want to control him like a regular fashion designer or artist.. A black one at that. Which is why he's trying to "maneuver in a room full of vultures" by signing with Adidas, getting these brand backings and etc

That's like a rookie complaining about not being put in the same class as hall of famers. Let that nikka put in work before they cosign him, his ideals might not be as dope as he think they are to the rest of the world.

Except this rookie is like Lebron James compared to other designers... and look how he started his career

Why y'all keep shytting on Sean John and rocawear like that. If they were meant to be high end fashion they probably would be, they were urban lines from the jump and I think they actually out sold shyt like Ralph Lauren for a hot sec(I might be wrong on that)
