No he wouldn't. Stop it. I've been watching Kawhi since high school/college. And even if hypothetically he could, it'd be silly to compare him to PG, who has proven he can put up the numbers whereas Kawhi hasn't

You haven't watched him play when pop makes him number 1 guy like the summer league and pre season

Miss me with that HS/college bullshyt, he didn't have 1/10 the jump shot before last season and is even better now

Can you read? That's why I said hypothetically if he was capable of putting up the same numbers, it still doesn't matter.... because he hasn't done it yet. Until he has you've got no ground to say he's better than PG. If we were to rank players in terms of what we thought their potential was..... nikkas would be saying shyt like 'Nerlens Noel >>>>> Chris Bosh".

At this current moment, he isn't in the stratosphere of being a superstar player, PG is. He isn't there yet, but he's close. Certainly a lot closer than Kawhi.

He's had big games where he's shown he's special player, but again, when you're the 3rd option, sometimes 4th option, you scale back, doesn't make him a worse player

And defensively PG isn't in kawhi league

i prefer kawhi over george cuz he plays like tim duncan with the fundamentals and plus george has lee way too score and chuck up as many shots as he wants where kawhi won't have that kind of freedom

granted this season he will be more involved but not on george level
If you prefer Kawhi, than who's to tell you you're wrong (I like Kawhi more too)? Regardless of your preference, he isn't a better player. Kawhi has trouble dealing with the offensive load he has now, if he had PG's role on the Pacers...... it wouldn't be a pretty site.

PG has proven he can carry a team. Kawhi hasn't. It's as simple as that.

:mindblown:

It sure as hell doesn't make him a better player.

That's because you don't watch the Pacers games. PG is every bit the defender Kawhi is. They're two of the best young perimeter defenders in the league.

PG x MD
:camby: Mods can we please just delete this thread. This was a dumbass comparison to begin with. Kawhi a nice lil role player and all but that's where it stops

Anyone who thinks Kawhi is in PG's league is a moron. Kawhi is a nice shooter, a good rebounder, and an elite defensive player.

George is a better passer, playmaker, and at creating his shot while being comparable at every other aspect of the game. Kawhi benefits from Pop's system and playing with Parker who gets the most defensive attention on the team.

I like both players but . George is a lot more comfortable with the ball then Kawhi, whether dribbling or passing it. Both are great on d and can knock down the 3. PG has to step up that fg% and that's the only knock on him.

I'd take Kawhi over George, for the simple fact I wouldn't want to be paying George superstar money :scusthov:

Bet the Spurs get Leonard at a much much much more reasonable contract. George is good, but he's not max contract good.
These 1st 4 games say PG definitely a max player

George looking like he is worth superstar money. He already did everything good, he's starting off this season well and what I was looking to see out of him was for him to up his scoring output to be considered a legitimate 1st option.

If he keeps the scoring up this season along with his other stats then the Pacers made the right decision.
