Can you imagine the entire NY Yankees team getting into a brawl at the Copacabana today like they did in the 60s and it NOT:

  1. Be filmed
  2. Go viral
  3. Aired repeatedly in 24/7 sports networks
  4. Be a knock on their reputation?

Old heads hate today’s players so much that they are willing to disregard the clear and obvious differences.

I really cant stand heads my age. Theyre acting no different than boomers

Society has changed things are definitely different.

Can you imagine Michael Jordan going on IG Live every morning during the summer and rapping along to Spice 1 lyrics like Bron does with King Von or Durk?

Or Mike sitting around smoking cigars and drinking with Sam Perkins and Oakley dropping F Bombs and the N Word?

Or Clyde Drexler calling Ahmad Rashad a “hoe ass c00n nikka” and telling him to pull up like Perkins and Draymond did recently?

Things have definitely evolved. But you only want to see it one way. The microscope is larger but what society views as acceptable from “role models” has also evolved.

Cardi B has sit downs with the president. Miss me with how scrutinized todays Black celebrity is

Detroit Lions, Michigan Wolverines & LWO
Steph Curry and Tom Brady pretty much kill this argument. They have the same access and social media exposure and it hasn’t taken away from how their greatness is viewed.

KD is just mentally weak imo.
It’s a reason Steph do that sleep celebration breh

Media coverage and fans are different

It’s a fukking rap song with millions of views called fukk Steph curry. A song calling his kid ugly as shyt looking like a mutt. His wife online begging for attention of other men.

I dunno KD, I like hating on Jordan but..

The manor in which he won his chips , no one has

Come close, plus

Jordan still has the highest recorded vert in NBA history, so technically athletic evolution hasn’t even caught up to him

My Pops Forever RIP
Jeter stays telling people if social media was around during his heyday, his career woulda lasted 3 years.
MJ is godlike because he actually had competitive spirit.

If he was like KD (ie a p*ssy), he would have joined the bad boy pistons after getting beat by them.
ehhh, MJ is godlike because that's what was presented to us.

How godlike would MJ be if you heard he fukked Kylie Ireland and was so worn out, he lost to the Nuggets the next night?

How godlike would MJ be if Adam475395728 had video of Mike gambling in Atlantic City the night before a playoff game?

How godlike would MJ be if someone just so happened to have a mic near MJ to find out what he really thought about his teammates?

George Michael once said "we will never see the kind of superstars we used to see because society is fragmented." It couldn't be more true.
