I think Dray was spot on when he mentioned KD being ready to leave at the beginning of season 3. I think he realized even if they 3 peat he wasn't gonna get the props he deserved. It just wasn't gonna be "his" team. And then the Draymond incident just solidified it.

I have no idea WHAT made him think that GS was ever going to be his team in the first place. Did not Durant along with the rest of the league have a FRONT ROW seat to Steph Curry’s ascension and coronation? Did Durant NOT witness this man become the FIRST unanimous MVP during an era where Lebron James was King? What in the name of everything good and righteous was going through his mind to think HE was going to usurp Steph:mindblown:

That’s not really it either though. He wasn’t necessarily interested in it being HIS team so much as he didn’t want to be thought of as a separate entity from the Warriors.

But that was impossible because he was already an MVP and had a HoF career before he got there. And the Warriors had already built a historically great team

A lot of people commenting clearly didn’t watch the video. Makes a lot of sense. Draymond is still at fault IMO for setting it off but the organization handled it poorly from what they divulged. Draymond should’ve swallowed his pride

Edit: Thinking about it again, it was all Draymond. He said the front office people locked him in a room for 2 hours and he just refused to apologize. How he was telling KD the story it seems like KD didn’t even know they had done all that.

Apologize for what? They were both at fault, and Dre was the clear leader of a team full of betas, if anything they should have just waited and handled/had it out in the locker room, cats been in the league too long to not know the cameras are on.

I wonder if things would be better if athletes were less accessible.

I don't know. I like having an insight into these players' minds and personality...except when I don't.
Or maybe it's just the way certain guys are.

Whatever.
It's just one of those things where once guys become more accessible you realized how corny and regular they were and the image you had of them before was destroyed. In all honesty that is something a normal man should come to term with before 18, at least by 21. But for a lot of yall social media provided that reality check that these arent heroes. The mystique is gone.

It's odd to see two people who you would assume were leaders on the team say, "We should've handled it as a team.":patrice:
Who was stopping you, besides your egos?:usure:

nikka please. Everyone, even Draymond, knows he was at fault. Save the beta nonsense for the first take thread. Draymond made a terrible basketball play and spoke out of pocket when he was being held responsible for his play
