Not just 94 I mean in general Erick laced Redman with better beats

Don't get me wrong the First 2 Keith albums had very dope production from E but the beats he did on Dare iz a darkside and Muddy Waters was on another level

:patrice:

I noticed this is the 2nd time u avoided acknowledging Canibus has quality music in this decade which challenges your overall thread title.

Doing that makes it seem like u were trolling when making that specific thread title.

Since there's talk of who Eric Sermon gave beats to...... Lets talk about how Canibus ate Keith up on every song thy'ev ever been in.

Canibus on an eric sermon beat in 1999 with Keith. Canibus outdoes Keith without a question.

Canibus on an Eric Sermon beat 10 years later. Canibus still doing Keith (LOL @ Keith taking a shot at Suge getting knocked out)

The undergodz album was a good 3 1/2 mics. Could have been a good 4 with a few songs removed.

If the album would have dropped in 2002 it probably would have made some bigger noise. Or it oucld have made noise when it did drop if a machine got behind it.

This is the only song where Keith was able to keep up with Bus and even then Canibus out does him.

Again, u are basing his career on what others think and not the actual music.

Your argument has nothing to do with the actual quality of the music but album sales. :camby:

You should have just made a Keith Murray appreciation thread, Instead u baited by shytting on Bus to big up Murray but you arent shytting on Bus properly. U just saying bullshyt that has nothing to do with the actual music. As someone who fukks with Keith Murray heavy it stands out u downing Bus to big up Keith when Keith hasnt put out a solo in 10 years yet Bus has 5 solos and 2 group albums this decade. And one of those group albums is Canibus and Keith. And Canibus kills Keith on every track they are on. :mindblown:
It ain't like I'm hating on Canibus i was an instant fan when I first heard him spit and in this thread im just explaining why he let me and a lot of his fans down... while comparing him and Keith Murray because I noticed a lot of similarities in their styles but they never get compared

U can't tell me Canibus wouldn't make a song like this

And I know what Canibus is capable of doing on the mic so i always give his albums a listen when they drop but just can't get into them... only album I liked from him was Rip The Jacker and the strange thing about that is I heard the producer of that album put that together because Canibus was still in the army so the producer got Canibus vocals and put them on his beats

There's nothing wrong with Keith Murray, just don't really care for his music tho there is a few songs I bump of his. I just think he sounds too much like a redman knockoff just not even close to as good tho. Canibus is definately better. Canibus could've been a lot better if he didn't make such corny music dude had mad skills.

fukk a [fakkit nikka] Keith Murray and his whole click
Yeah, you snuffed me in front of the cops, that bullshyt
Told you come around the corner, no police and no witnesses
Little to your knowledge, you almost got shot
But that's aight though, I'mma catch your ass again
You fukkin immigrant:mjlol: for two cent
My Mobb running shyt, you fukking Carlton Ave coward

OK but your thread title is still off because u are only acknowledging 2 Keith Murray albums like that and u are just now admitting u like RTJ so thats 2 Keith 1 Canibus.

I'm challenging that saying that Bus has overall better projects then Keith. fukk what Canibus 1st album didnt do lets talk about the quality of Canibus catalog and put it against Keith and I gaurantee Canibus will outdo Keith.

But u cant tell me anything about this album. Production by Jake One, DR Period, Scram Jones and DJ Primere. Bus spiitting over new school sounding east coast beats.

Lets talk about how Poet Laurette Infinity was some next level shyt that created numerous songs online.

No rapper has ever done a project on such a level. This song right here is fan made yet sounds like a song that could have been released as a legit song. and there''s hundreds more like this on the net. What rapper has created such a movement like what Bus did with Poet Laurette Infinity???

Canibus was great ain't no denying that but how long did it last? He had a good 8 month run spitting on mixtapes and killing features then it was over. His career went so bad so quick

Yeah u can play earlier Canibus mixtape stuff now and seethat he was great... u can play old Keith Murray verses and see why he was great also

Keith held his own with Biggie, LL Cool J and Redman... some of the greatest ever

It's different. As far as writing goes, Canibus followed Keith down that "represent intellectual violence" lane, but he gave it a more scholarly approach. No diss to Keith but often times he would go off the feeling or sound of a word, instead of it's actual meaning.
So Canibus material holds up a little better, because it's well written and makes sense to everyone. I don't have quotes on deck, so I'll make up a quick example.

Take the word "Jurassic". Both mcs will use a word like that, because it's an ill sounding word.

Keith Murray will take this word, and use it in a context where it means "something that is big and exciting". That's the feeling of the word he might have based off "Jurassic Park", which is likely his frame of reference.

Canibus is more likely to reference the Jurassic geologic period, because he's formally educated.

Keith is a livewire ghetto slanglord, a la Raekwon. Bis clearly had a more stable upbringing, was more of a homebody etc. When the rhymes weren't hitting like they were initially, a lot of people lost interest in Bis, because it was clear that he was a weirdo/recluse. Bis is that quiet dude in the corner, while Keith is like a "life of the party" type of cat. Keith's energy and presence was just magnetic, he made you feel stuff he was saying regardless of how much sense he made.

Keith Murray is basically the east coast version of Kurupt to me.
