Kendrick isn’t very charismatic but he is a great rapper. Over time he can work on stage presence

Don’t get me wrong, the nikka got stage presence. He can perform the shyt out of a song and shoot the fukk out of a video.

It’s just when he actually gets to spittin’, aside from the bars, there’s not a whole lot of other redeeming qualities.

Nikka need mic presence.

You're a retard, go fukk yourself

I rather fukk your mother instead and your stupid bytch ass who wasn't even born or of age when Rakim stepped on the scene.

The same hating bytches of your ilk said the same thing about Rakim, no Charisma, No Stage Presence

Kendrick's got charisma for days, people saying he's wack etc, i guarantee you listen to any of the bellow trash artists.

Lil Uzi Vert
Lil Yachty

that 69 fakkit
xxxxxxxxxxxxxtentacion
Future
Travis Scott
21 Savage
Kodak Black
Migos
cardi b
Nicki Minaj
Any of the Asap Mob
2 chainz
Trippy Red

Fetty Wap
French Montana
Desiigner

if you listen, enjoy these, you're opinion is irrelevant to me.

Just because you like any of these talented artist, that does not mean you don't like some Nas, Jay, Wu Tang or Big Pun in the rotation...

Why can't nikkas like different things for different occasions... if you trying to turn up obviously you not putting on some lyrical shyt...

and if you cruising solo in the whip maybe you want something more lyrical

That's what I'm saying, GKMC damn near resonates with anyone who was a teen in the mid 00's. I'm beginning to think most of these guys were too young to connect with it, or just never had friends.

Man I'm going to be honest, I'm an old head, and I remembered when GKMC dropped, these kids called it their era Illmatic, that's all they played was GKMC, the hype was crazy, it was played everywhere. XXL gave it XXL, publications was giving it a classic ratings, it was a breath of fresh air

Can't wild out to boom bap beats breh. The melodies they create and just the general vibe of the track puts you in a mode.

This doesn't take talent to make? You ain't turning up off this shyt?

If you wanna talk modern day lyrical, these are my go to's... Mick Jenkins, Saba, Earthgang, Dave East, Curren$y, Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Purp, Isiah Rashad....

I like music period, I don't discriminate. I just find value in there's value in music outside of words.. it ain't always about words... but I listen to different shyt.. I just like music breh so I may be the wrong person to debate with

I listen to 80s pop sometimes, old school rock, alternative, but my main genre is hip hop

rap (80% of the time)
other genres (20%)

My main issue with Kendrick is he never really opens up. Feels like he's always playing a character or keeps it very neutral

Still has an amazing catalog and a great writer. He's just not Top 10 caliber to me because he's not very convincing when he's introspective

The track you linked says its been removed, i searched for it and its removed on most videos i checked on youtube, hook me up with a working link so i can comment on it?

Im gonna be honest with you, Mick Jenkins, Saba, Earthgang, Dave East, Curren$y, Earl Sweatshirt, Joey Purp, Isiah Rashad.

The ones in red are the guys ive heard of/ heard tracks from, i'd have to check out the others you said

Like yourself i listen to many different genre's im talking anywhere from the likes of Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin etc to Katrina & the waves. im into mainly hip hop but i listen to alot of punk, Minor threat, Black Flag etc

I just cannot get into the trap mumble crap that seems to be taking over the rap game recently

Not hating but, Kendrick is hands down one of the most overrated rappers in Hiphop history. :wow::snoop: and also J.cole.

There are 3 reasons why:

1.) People of this generation (especially young kids) have had no absolutely exposure to real hiphop from the 90's. Because if they did, "Kendrick" & "Greatest" would never be in the same sentence.... neither would J.cole.

2.) The rap game is so watered down right now, so of course "Kendrick" or "J.cole" would be considered "deep"..... That's only cause the rap game is a fukking puddle. :francis:
But when you look beyond the surface you'll realize these nikkas are only 3ft deep especially compared to shyt nikkas was talkin bout back in the 80's and 90's.
They aint kickin no real knowledge, or shyt that will transform Black people & our culture.
They just throw in a few "Black Lives Matter" quotes here and there, and references to "The struggle" to keep the fake woke instagram crowed happy, then go home to their non-black wives while the culture continues to fall and get infiltrated by outsiders.

3.) It's easy to sound deep to stupid people (90% of the population). :yeshrug:

Edit: :whoa: I'm not hating.... I'm just simply saying, if you know your hiphop there is no way you can possibly classify Kendrick or J.cole as a "Greatest". Of course they can be the greatest amongst TRASH. But J.cole nor Kendrick would not be relevant rappers back in the day. Lyrically/and musically they aint got it.....especially when compared to nikkas from the 90's. Let's keep it 100.

Good Kid Maad city had some dope ass tracks though. :ehh:
