OP is full of shyt... His set was dope. Did his whole catalog - illmatic through LIG. Jung was there wildin out with a bottle of Henny

It's really sad when the hate for Nasir leads to the OP & the rest of the Nas hating squad being LIARS! Nas show was NICE! The way these Internet peons hate on Nas one would think he did something personal to them. Regardless of the hate (lack of breath control/forgetting lyrics) Nas is still getting requested to ROCK the crowd & getting PAID VERY WELL TO DO SO! Haters NEVER PROSPER but Nasir continues to PREVAIL!

Man, I know exactly how you feel.......My soul was burning when I realized NaS sucks live because he's my favorite rapper. I can't deal with the forgetting of lyrics and the poor breath control. It's funny, he'll forget his lyrics and then try to play it off like he wants the crowd to fill in the lyrics. I swear one concert he was doing that shyt every 2 bars I was like :comeon:

Your soul was burning? I see dat Ether affected you too... That's some powerful sh*t still.
:ehh:

Seen him several times and he's usually pretty good live and gets good reviews. He's been doing the band thing for a few years now. I think its matte of expectations but most people who seen him like him. he does a ton of songs and his breath control is usually on point.
But he does have off nights. Feel free to google some reviews of his shows

Google some reviews? I mean I saw it w my own two eyes n it was lackluster. The thing is it could've been the illest show ever w the records he was doing but he couldn't translate his shyt for the stage.

The World, but from BK
Nas kinda addressed it in an old interview about his breath control. And it made sense. He gotta yell shut and he don;t really seem to have a strong voice naturally, and his verses be having lines in them without any pauses at times. I've seen Nas perform about 7 times, I'd rate him about a 7 as a performer. That's one thing I give to Jay, he's always about with reciting the lyrics verbatim to the actual song.

i've seen videos of nas performing, and lets just say...don't waste your fukkin time. dude looks like he should be up there w/ an oxygen tank. it's seriously terrible. i'd be ashamed if i went to see him and he tried to perform something off of illmatic or iww w/ that shiitty @$$ breath control.
you're better off just listening to his albums.
when i seen the video of where the firm had re-united, nas looked like he could take some stage presence classes from cormega.

Understood but I would also point out you made a thread while at the festival not really enthusiastic about seeing his set and expecting it to suck and then proceeded to walk out during Daughters which usually is not even midway through his show.

Did you even get a chance to rock out to Made You Look? Hate Me Now? Got Yourself (when DJ Green Lantern flips the Deep Cover blend)? Nas is Like? A few people I've seen on twitter and tumblr seem to have enjoyed his set from their comments :ehh:

Dont me wrong I've seen him a few times (and Jay a few times) and both have floored me (God Son UK tour, Disant Relatives, the Arena show, HHID show, Jay during the Black Album, the orchestra at Kingdom Come tour, WTT) and underwhelmed me at different points (God Son NYC concert on DVD, the New Orleans show, Jay at SXSW last year) but I would definetly not say he's the worst preformer I've seen (Hello Rick Ross, Cam'ron) and I'd put him up there with KRS-One, Redman and Method Man, Lil Wayne (Surprisingly good), Busta as some of the memorable shows. Depends on how many rap shows you got to and your expectation and if you really wanna see the guy (Which I feel you didnt want to anyway)

As I was walking away, he did Nas is like and hate me now which were :ld: he was forgetting lyrics and out of breath for both. My thing is, if ppl r gonna put Nas in the same league as someone like Jay, his live show (where someone can truly show their MC prowess) better match up n it didn't. Kendrick's live show was 100000000x's liver n I'm a passive fan I don't even kno his records like that. His shyt was live as fukk. He had no band n no hype man (except his Dj a lil) and he had the crowd going insane.

Jay's smart enough not to dig into his Reasonable Doubt and Vol. 2 catalog or else he'd run into the same problems. Plus his songs post-Blueprint allow him more room for error in terms of breath control.

Erroneous, he always performs songs off Reasonable Doubt
