The song comes on right after U on the album, where he has a mental breakdown over his fame and failure to meet personal responsibilities. Alright also details his struggle with fame, being a famous rapper/revenue generator for a corporation ("and when I wake up I recognize you're looking at me for the pay cut"). He details his vices and struggle and then the chorus.
Second verse is Lucy (Lucifer/drugs/etc) tempting him with more worldly things, as she does throughout the album. He sees the evil of consumerism and tries not to think of it, but nothing he does quenches its thirst.
There is no solution presented, no happy ending or moment of overcoming. It's basically I'm fukked up but I'm gonna be alright.
And then the reoccurring poem at the end adds a new line - "the evils of Lucy were all around me, so I went running for answers."
Thematically it reminds me of Welcome To The Machine by Pink Floyd. Trapped in the industry surrounded by vices that no longer satisfy,
