I don't think it was necessary for Kendrick to do anything more after the Control verse. That was a ridiculous atom bomb in itself. N!gga had Phil Jackson even weigh in, SportsCenter touched on it.Then he followed it up with the BET Cypher (Jay Rock's verse btw
), then the sharing bars like a two man cell line on King Kunta which really could have been about anyone, but in hindsight he probably was talking about Aubster.
Regardless, who's generally respected and accepted as this generation's best rapper? It's Kendrick and that's not really up for debate. I get the feeling his peers generally accept the fact that they're not rappin like that. There's a reason why nobody really attempted to go at his head too as the return fire would have been fatal.
That said, Kendrick is so far beyond the rest that, at this point he's Floyd Mayweather, and Meek going at Drake is like Tim Bradley going at Adrien Broner. Lamar would be going backwards to battle any of these 2nd tier rappers at this point. Let them fight for the scraps. And before anybody comes with how many units Drake pushed, and his popularity, etc., gotta remind you that units don't necessarily equal respect from your peers. Truth be told, Aubrey would trade his success for Kendrick Lamar's reputation and respect any day.

Kendrick is already the King. I here King Kendrick but never here King Drake. Kendrick set all these nikkaz in line on control and no one popped off that he mentioned. Only nikkaz that popped off were irrelevant ass nikkaz that felt some type of way not being listed. The fact that he said names and didn't bust any subliminals like your favorite rapper shows he has an aggressive side. Besides Drake would of been light work for Kendrick. I wish Meek would of followed up on that Kendrick you next diss that he gave to Cassidy. That would of been something great for the culture

kendrick in many ways is built like drake when it comes to not stepping up appropriately when it's time to assert his dominance over a long period of time. most of these rappers of this generation and class aren't able to sustain any real dominance over their competition for a long period of time. it's one thing to put out hits and projects that do well critically and commercially, but it's another thing to let your competitors know outright that they can't fukk with you. the most we'll see them do is talk slick in interviews, drop subliminals or have well orchestrated come backs to make it seem as if they have it in them. none of them are direct for long. they never spontaneously point out what's wrong. it's all calculated. it's all for clicks and looks but none of them really think about how they're moving in a historical sense. if so they'd do more to let the others know directly what it really is. they're contempt with just having a little shine and being on the inside. all of them have some type of talent but none of them have really ruled as men. lots of decent artists, but none of the are the man.

You can call Drake wack, tell him he has weak lyrics, call him a p*ssy, send subliminals, etc. etc. ... but he can just ignore it, flood the radio with singles, and then remind everyone he has more money and sales then them.
BUT, if you make a move that might directly impact his cashflow (e.g. directly say he has a ghostwriter leads to -> "you out here trying to harm us"), Drake will respond.
