In all honesty, without hype and I’m asking my real life peoples too, does this feel like an instant classic to anyone else besides me?
It just feels like one of them ones.

How many times i listened to this?!?
Classic![]()

whenever someone tries to make me feel old, i just tell em that im three months younger than kendrick. that usually shuts them up.Kendrick was already one of the biggest artists in the game, but to reach his zenith in popularity at the age of 37, 15 years in the game is completely unheard of….this is the age when rappers start to cool down. It’s good for Hip Hop to have the 3 big rappers in their late 30s. It’s not a young man’s game anymore.

I just realized, this is Kendrick’s Vol 2 Hard Knock Life album
That album was less personal and more hit-heavy, but you couldn’t knock it bc the hits were MASSIVE and Jay didn’t sell out to make em. It was simultaneously bops and good music
That’s what Kendrick did here. And like Jay, it has seemingly catapulted him to another level popularity wise. What makes it scary is that was Jay’s 3rd album, he was as only active for 3,4 years, and it made him a superstar. Meanwhile this is Kendrick’s 5th, 6th album and he been mainstream over 10 years and was already a star. I did not foresee him being an even bigger star. He bout to step over Drake artistically and popularity wise![]()
tbhYeah I think between the critical acclaim along with all the other events tied to this album it's gonna go down as a classic. Everyone's gonna remember this "era" when they think of the album 10+ years from now
