This is a good album. I’m going to listen to it again, but I’m also in no rush. It did get better with multiple listens. I really enjoyed all the features; They were the highlight! I’d actually rather them featuring Kendrick. At times Kendrick’s vocal cadance/style at times feels–sounds uninspired, despite being aggressive, sort-of unbelievable or unnecessary. If you listen to the featured artists, I believe you’ll understand; Dody6 floats on ‘Hey Now’ and AzChike slides on ‘Peekaboo’.

Cool album.

Update: Just spun it back. ‘GNX’ is great. Top to bottom listenable – Kendrick’s tone evened out; This is smooth af – It will be in rotation. To critique from a rap prospective; He’s just saying stuff at the right time sometimes, but one could argue it’s his style; poetry – ‘man at the garden’. He’s a musician.

Controversial prospective — I’m a J. Cole fan. Cole is a better rapper. Kendrick is better at music, at creativity – everything is woven so well; Which packaged with his rap skills makes him “better” or the “winner”. He’s undeniable. Listen to J. Cole ‘Inevitable’ It’s worth it, it’s excellent, it’ll add perspective — these two are on two different missions for themselves, both real both pure.

To add more controversy; Drake a is pop star. Again listen to Cole’s Inevitable Stories [episodes] and you’ll understand why Kendrick and Cole are “Like Us” and they not. Big 3 is dead, 1 dot 2 drizzy 3 jermaine. Let’s usher in the next generation of rappers.
