Rap fans are also the least musically educated listeners tbh...reason why Eminem gets more hate by his own hip hop community than anything else.

Rap fans acknowledge his rapping abilities, yet they love to clown his music...but the music community has always loved his early music (despite having no interest in rap).

Jay-Z though, most non-rap fans don't even know he's considered a top 5 rapper...he doesn't have any essential album that could rank in a music hall of fame.

It's the same for the tpab vs gkmc debate...inside the hip hop world, you would think it's pretty close, with tpab still having an edge. But once you open the door and check how they're both ranked in music in general, god damn you would think gkmc is a Soulja Boy album and TPAB was made by Prince.

Thats the difference between the 2. Gkmc is a planet, while Tpab is the universe, making gkmc almost irrelevant in the pantheon of music legends

Too early to rank GNX for me although I do feel it’s better than his last album. Gotta live with it first though.

1. TPAB
2. GKMC
3. DAMN
4. S80
5. MM&TBS

I’d say he has three classics (top 3 listed). Which puts him well ahead of his contemporaries. His real peers at this point are the legends.

The thing about GNX that’s so impressive is that it’s a return to him making really good radio records and bangers. He did that on GKMC and especially DAMN but I thought he took a big step back on Mr. Morale. There are a lot of radio friendly tracks on that album but they’re kinda just…there. Especially the Summer Walker track, whereas here he knocks it out the park with SZA again.

He also keeps stacking his live set list. I can imagine 8-9 tracks from this album being done on the tour. And long term I can imagine 5 tracks sticking (Squabble Up, Luther, Hey Now, TV Off, Dodger Blue).

This is likely the most active he's ever been and ever will be.

On top of the diss songs released this year, and GNX, here are all the things still coming that have been confirmed:
- Movie coming next year
- Superbowl performance + Superbowl Promo work/ads
- More music videos for GNX
- Likely more SZA and Keem collabs on their upcoming albums.
- 2nd/Deluxe album
