It's also just two different situations, Kendrick had full control and Lupe apparently didn't...

is that hard to believe? :why:

Lupe dropped two critically acclaimed conscious albums before LOSERS, but had no type of creative control over shyt?

how do you make two conscious albums, and then a label forces you to make a pop album?

he coulda just said " i wanted to make music to reach a wider audience, cause i feel my message isn't being heard by enough people" or " that i wanted to try to make different music"

but this fakkit says that he was forced to do it.... I could understand Wiz's sitatution.. first album on the label, and they want to make sure that he makes a good enough of an impression to the masses.

slim had more hustle n grind than 50 n game put together...them nikkas still waitin on direction...and waitin on a heads ok from dre n jimmy..

You've made lot of good points but the 50 cent thing :rudy:safe to say he's a much bigger boss than slim thug is . He used his music influence to make big time business deals . And ny dont fukk with that sell mixtapes out the trunk stuff man completely different fan bases .While game and Blackwall street fell into the bushes

Alright then .. To all of those opposed .

What was the motive behind Lupe PRETENDING he had label issues , holding up his own album and releasing Lasers?

kendrick lamar is dope but appeals to emotion. lupe is citing sources. they don't pay him to think, they pay him to sing. dig it. i'm not even gonna elaborate issues of labels or their position in their career arcs.

kendrick lamar is proof that people like kendrick lamar. that is all. tell me ab-soul isn't as good or better? jackass thread.

these nikkas dont pay attention to the game..

once flo-rida made low with t-pain....his entire career became that

stillnotsoft preachin too..

ti the same nikka who claimed flip was makin sucka nikka music kuz of sunshine..

lil wayne made lollipop...wha ti come backdoor that with...whatever u like...the video made it worse...he bout to trick on a bytch that worked at kfc...

nobody on atlantic have control of their career or label

atlantic jus like jive...

ugk was forced to do that bullshyt with money hoes power bullshyt with j.d ..or the album never woulda dropped..

because pimp c refused to do another big pimpin song

same way with outkast...hey ya was the biggest song to date by outkast..jive wouldnt give outkast another album unless the whole album was like that..

thats why they removed all vocals of dre off the album..big ended up goin to def jam

:salute:....thing I don't get wit T.I is most of his singles have been hard singles up until about Paper Trail....shyt alotta nikkas his level wouldn't put out as singles cuz it ain't much hope they would crossover....but his albums for no reason in particular manage to have those pop sounding tracks, that probaly won't be singles, that the core fanbase don't wanna hear and ain't gon blow up so why is it even on the album:mindblown:?a few TI cd's that coulda been close to classic instead of just solid if not for these songs that don't make anybody happy...I do think T.I has a little more creative control tho then most and a lot of the poppish sound he's gon for and songs he's done, I'm not sure if he ain't doin that shyt himself,he puts out hard singles a lot of acts wouldn't be allowed to who have shown his selling potential wit songs like "whatever u like"....Atlantic would've forced anybody else to do nuthing but those type of records "from now on this is how you rap:damn:"...if his shyt sound more pop I think its bcuz he tryna keep up with the Kanyes,Waynes and Jays and be in that realm but he's failing,....and in turn sacrificing the quality of the music for no good reason at all.

Don't even remind me of Twista and how as soon as he made a song for the ladies Atlantic never let him look back and his albums wuz never that hard shyt his og fanbase loved him for again, bunch of moist shyt and I eventually stopped checkin for em....Atlantic certainly ain't in the business of building and mainting and developing rappers.....they see u succesful at sumthing they gon tell u to bring them more of that, get as many ringtone sales as they can out of you and your career is pretty much through....they could give a shyt about longevity.

I think Defjam probaly the best right about now,I'm watchin how they handle Future but luv how they let my nikka Jeezy do his thing as well as anybody else who's succesful....Jeezy ain't made a moist sellout single yet that I remember, even that Neyo record ain't sweet....he probaly ain't killin in ringtone sales but when u force these nikkas to make bullshyt music they gon sell ringtones but only be around for a couple yrs before losin they damn entire og street fanbase, and then lose the casual listeners who only liked them bcuz they heard that nikka wuz hot in the streets....but I ain't in the business so I don't know which is the better and more profitable bottomline...a couple years of sellin a bunch of ringtones or havin a long and succesful career as a consistent gold artist who puts out product fans can enjoy:manny:

Be careful cheerleading for your favorite rapper to blowup,I can't help myself sumtimes even though I know the consequences, and majority of the time it won't turn out good and my favorite artist will turn into a lesser version of what they wuz that I liked....Its a few nikkas I wish woulda stayed unknown to most of the world.:snoop:..

Atlantic got Plies popping back in the day.I think they release BP3 as well.

Yet they have an different look at hiphop? :comeon:

Jeezy is like vp or some shyt right? :wtb:

This whole defense is groundless.

Admit ya man dropped a dud and followed it up with some half ass shyt..

When he gets back to The Cool ill come back and worship him AGAIN.
