You've made lot of good points but the 50 cent thing :rudy:safe to say he's a much bigger boss than slim thug is . He used his music influence to make big time business deals . And ny dont fukk with that sell mixtapes out the trunk stuff man completely different fan bases .While game and Blackwall street fell into the bushes

you missed the point. it's not about who has more money... that's not what being a boss is about...he's talking about hustle at that.

Thugga didn't need Interscope to sell records, it was just easier to use they money and distribution.

he coulda put out his shyt independently, Kyleon and the BHO albums too...and made a shytload of money just pumping that in Texas and the south.

which is exactly what he did.

you'll make more on the back end doing that shyt, cause none of them would have to let money pass thru as many hands that way.

you booking your own shows, you'll get paid by how much you work...and you don't have to worry about some suits telling you that you gonna sit and wait to put some shyt out...and you'll get to make the music you want to make.

These Houston rappers take the rap game serious...if your hustle game aint on point in the south, you might as well not even rap.

50 wasnt shyt without chris lightly

chris lightly had the connections n and advised 50 to make the moves he made...n chris got a waaaaaaaay bigger % in the vitamin water deal than 50...he didnt even get the 15% nor the 30% them indian nikkas got..

had it not been from chris puttin it on 50s mind to do the master p puffy n rocafella hustle 50...woulda jus been a rapper still waitin his turn...

How 50 Cent scored a half-billion

chris was the boss not 50

slim only partner doin his come up has always been his blood brother rayface

no other companies..no other execs or advisors..

slim was a 300k nikka a month nikka in high school...jus doin shows..and he never made a album...jus off freestyles..be4 nikkas even knew who 50 was or he even caught the 1st bullet...

michael watts n ron c made all the money off mixtapes..them nikkas on swishahouse was jus rappin 4 free..

slim was makin noise...he didnt even wanna rap...but somebody wanna pay u 10-20 a show why not..so promoters started calling...n when they ask em what he wanted up front...he jus said a number...n they paid em..next time he raised it to see if he would get it...n he did..

alot of the house members begin gettin suspicious thinkin watts payin em...but slim paid watts to dj..slim kept the rest of the money...the rest of house got mad...they at shows with slim he gettin thousands...

then they do shows with watts they gettin 200 each...slim left..next time anybody seen em he came down in the 1st bentley

got his business license started up the hoggs...n bought out a couple mom n pop record stores

bought a gang of music whole sale...sold em..along with his shyt...n made a killing

then he got his real estate license started flippin houses...

helped toya get her own store...

slim hustle n gettin his blood on his team > chris giving 50 advice

I admit it's a dud . So much so that I've never even listened to more than a couple of tracks .

No ones defending the album . You're thread insinuates he lied about the label.

Which makes absolutely no sense.

I'm not a Lupe defender but Atlantic are one of the worst labels in history. They've fukked over so many artists over the years.

I believe Lupe initially did oppose the direction Atlantic wanted him to take, but once he seen that he was doing good numbers from those flaccid emo tracks he got off his high horse and revealed himself to be just another cowardly rapper in it for the record sales.

I've no problem with rappers trying to get money and make hits. But the difference between Lupe and someone like Flo-Rida is at least Flo-Rida doesn't build himself up as this holier than thou last real rapper alive. Lupe tried to have his cake and eat it too. And he just comes across as a complete lame, bytch ass hypocrite.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
y'all tripping... eminem dropped slim shady lp and did plat after plat after plat... he said in an interview once that he finished up the marshall mathers cd and handed it into jimmy. jimmy basically looked him in the face and said "where's another 'my name is' type record"

em said he hated doing that the first time and wasn't doing it again. jimmy said, good, then you won't be coming out. and then we got "real slimy shady please stand up"

so don't think for one second this ain't about money. that first album is your test run. "oh this type of song makes us a million dollars and these 15 other songs made us 200k????" what you think they gonna tell you in that next meeting? make good music that's gonna leave us broke?? yea right

and dre has also come out and said its not even him dropping dudes from the label. he said if they don't look like they gonna perform, don't even matter if dre is backing them, jimmy will drop them. see interscope owns a majority of aftermath so dre isn't even really..................

you get the point

Lupe exposed himself, after all the whining and trolling he just came out and said the label "forced" him to do two songs, the two singles which were also the best songs on the album.

Then he went on to talk about the process, how he had to fight and that he loves the album but hates it cause of the process.

Dude was just hedging himself for making weak music :smh:

perhaps you fakkets dont remember the two lead songs...

"Shining Down" and "I'm Beamin"

neither is on the album... sun (dont even ask me how) bought a Neptunes beat and shot a video for "Im Beamin" and had Matthew Santos on "Shining Down" clearly he expected those to be on the album... then compare those songs to what was on there and you see a clear turn from what was originally planned

Seems niccaz love to be dumb on here...

He did all that crying about his label forcing him to make that weak ass album. Then a new artist comes out of nowhere and makes the album everyone thought Lupe was making. No wonder he said he was scared of Kendrick.

What a fakkkit. No wonder Sosa made him fall back.

1. Lupe is better than Kendrick Lamar

2. Kendrick Lamar is backed by Jimmy Iovine and Dr Dre. Lupe is on Atlantic Records, :dead:
