One of the greatest albums I ever heard. I still remember my first reaction playing the album. Every song had me with the 
reaction. It's hard to describe but it's one of those albums you knew was going to be special. Other albums that gave me that feeling was Midnight Marauders, Fantastic Vol. 2, Aquemeni, Me against the world, Sade's Promise, catch a fire and Illmatic.
Those albums that hit you hard off first listen that doesn't go away. Spun it driving to and from work earlier and it hasn't aged a bit.

Still don't like Rhapsody verse on there, name-dropping Hov twice

Nothing less than an absolutely brilliant, poignant, classic work of art. Easily a Top 10 rap album ever and probably higher. Easily deserving of any placement of greatest albums ever despite genre, you can't convince me that 40 albums of any genre have ever been created, that are better than this...

Eh I'm not a fan of Complexion or Mortal Man, also think Blacker the Berry drags a bit too long. That Lucy song was a bit meh, album could have done without it
That said, if that is all I have as complaints, it's a classic for sure. I don't think there's one bad beat on this.
