For me its more about the fact she is an actor playing the part of a southern female rapper. If she was being herself, no one would be dissing Iggy as they are. None of that really has anything to do with her race. If she was actually from the south, had a southern drawl, and came up through hip hop then she wouldn't be getting scrutinized as she is regardless of her race.

But being she is from Australia, was a wanna be Britney Spears and then when that failed decided to play the part of a rapper, I just can't respect that.

Exactly, if Iggy rapped like she talked then it would be no issue. But she rapping with this terrible Southern accent.

nikkas just sound bitter and salty as hell imo

She is authentic but she failed to act like a guest:sas1:...came in with a group called white girl mob like u repping for white girls, but the shyt you on is all shyt that comes from black culture:mjlol:....and she wuz tossin the word nikka around....both those things mighta been cute locally but folks everywhere aint gon accept that shyt....and most important thing that whole click was too wack to convince anybody it was ok...hiphop is a genre where u can not get respect for a variety of reasons, sum which may be dumb and uncalled for....but if you dope and fight your way through it you convince people and make them say "okay they aight:myman:"

White rappers go thru that automatically becuz they white, but they not the only ones....iggy wants to forgo tradition and cry to t.i to fix it like she a baby:sadbron:...she a pop princess at heart:mjlol:

Ti the only nikka making money off this bytch but hethe only one who cant defend her:childplease:?nas threatened nikkas over the last white bytch so we can diss him cuz we know where he stands on violence against his own for white women:mjlol:...Lupe said "fukk black people" on twitter just last year...and mc lyte wanna eat her puzzy probaly:pachaha:...and i just left a thread where kendeick blaming black people and talking about "what about looting and black on black crime"

BUT i told yall these nikkas wuz phonies a long time ago, dezpite the fact yall think concious rappers "must be real:ohhh:".....that shyt is just a lane to these dudes....kendrick said it himself a while ago and i posted the video but yall swore that aint what he meant...sumtimes u gotta read between the lines breh brehs:sas1:

Its fine if its just a lane but dont hold these fake pastor azz nikkas up in my face and demonize other rappers who faking or just rappin about whatevers hot for the money....they all hustling:pachaha:

Just cause TI is making money off her don't mean he had to look stupid by REPEATEDLY commenting on other black people raising issues about race to the point where he was engaged in fighting with his own people over it (Nas never ended up doing that, neither did Kendrick, Lyte, Lupe etc) . He showed his ass on that one plain and simple.

Lupe may troll around and Nas might say a few off key shyt like that Paltrow stuff (Which seemed obvious he was kidding around from the interview) but for the most part they have some reasonably intelligent things to say on these issues and more recently, particularly Nas, they've been doing constructive stuff with the community and ventures that help the black community (which sadly in this day and age isn't hustling cause people don't see the revenue in helping us, that's why they take the initatives like the Roku partnership). So to call them c00ns is asinine. Even Kendrick with the Billboard Interview, he's wrong for misplacing the argument of black on black crime in relation to Ferguson but for the most part he's not c00ning either when he's putting his carrer behind a record like I that promotes black self awareness . And if you think he's c00ning off of one statement, then I hope you're prepared to say the same about a certain rapper who once famously said "They say its police I should fear, but its my own kind doing all the killing the here" :mjpls:

I'm not calling ANY of these dudes prophets or saying they pastors, all I'm saying is if they don't have any issue with just her, it doesn't mean they c00ns or fakes or anything. They've found more constructive ways to help the culture while knowing the issue of whitewashing or any marginalization of Hip Hop doesn't begin and end with one person.

If Nas can call the roots sambos for doing a live set with Jay-Z I think I can call him a c00n for that Gweneth Paltrow shyt:mjlol:...but nah just cuz you did some c00n act don't give you a lifelong tag, even though yall quick to try to put that on TI:rudy:....TI shouldn't have to defend Iggy but he is her manager and as the credible black artist he's trying to clean up this situation and failing miserably....at this point he know he look bad and like he got his tap shoes on,so if he is continuing to do it he gotta deal with that tag in this instance, and if he cool doin that for his money hopefully he don't lose respect from the public he cant get back:manny:.

And I feel like ive had enough of these convos and instances with both Nas and Lupe its safe to call them phonies playing they position they know pays off for them:comeon:...me and I think @blackslash was there in that thread where we warned yall about Kendrick....as long as you DONT look at them as nothing more than rappers doing they job that's cool, but to me guys like this shouldn't be getting extra credit for content and paraded around as "the enlightened righteous rappers:mjcry:" when they just hustling too...and doing things for the community is done by a lot of rappers people hate on,and not always but sumtimes its part of the hustle....in Master P case he managed to do it both while getting hate for poisoning the community, and he managed to use it as part of his hustle to allow him to schmooze with Oprah and them while he was condemning hiphop:heh:

When its a hustle its a hustle:manny:...Far as Pac its safe to say he was very vocal about white folks bullshyt on and off wax with 0 fukks given....theres a reason he can say it and not look funny in the light:mjpls:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
and shes dating Kendrick's cousin so I expected him to say that :manny:

but hes absolutely right, people are dissing her because of her skin color,n it has nothing to do with her music, its lame as fukk
incorrect... there's plenty of white rappers since the damn 70s and 80s in this culture that never got a word said about them

they diss her cause she's from fukking australia and her idea of hip hop is to sound like she grew up in a cardboard box in atlanta

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Just like they do now.
nope..individual maybe..but that shyt is consistently pushed as "talent" and "genius" or whatever...this aint no nostalgia shyt I VIVIDLY remember the 90s and can clearly see the difference..and I def dont act like everything from then was classic either...but if we comparing quality..subtance..skills..production etc etc on a mainstream level to the underground there is no comparison..there just isnt...and I hate when people try to insult my intelligence like there is and im just being nostalgic..the level of quality control was just different..

Or is it that we only remember the good shyt?
we remember it cause it was actually getting play

any medium... radio, mixtapes, tv... you'd have 1 shytty song for every 9 good ones

nowadays you want good music and the first thing is "it's out there, you just gotta go find it"

90s and 80s go look at the MAJORITY of the hits and platinum albums... i couldn't even imagine hearing a wu tang/biggie/pac hell even a hard knock life jay z on the radio right now... and do they even have videos anymore

Calling the Roots sambo is very strong but these were the same dudes who did the What they do video so it aint like they were free of some contradictory manner far more impilicty
As for Officer Clifford?
Oh we got the TI agreeing with the Tea Party about immagration and borders and also talking about black on black crime in comparison Ferguson and a generally horrid reality show to give him that :mjpls: you said it yourself he's failing miserably.....he just dont know he look bad

Cant really call them phonies if they are doing active business helping the black community and they cant really be playing their position if they can get a record like "Words I Never Say" on the radio (in fact, that's actually impressive Lu managed to do that all things considered). There's doing things for the community and then there's stuff like investing in a programme to get black folks into computer industry and silicon valley based jobs like Nas is doing. That's doing more than a summer softball and giving turkeys out on Christmas. Hell, thats not even benefiting him like a hustle. That's just black excellence. You should be happy Nas getting brothers job in your own backyard out in Cali. :smugbiden:

When its a hustle its a hustle:manny:...Far as Pac its safe to say he was very vocal about white folks bullshyt on and off wax with 0 fukks given....theres a reason he can say it and not look funny in the light:mjpls:

:rudy: I love Pac as much as the next guy but lets not act like he wasn't the original Mr "Is it Oochie Wally or One Mic" and got his own share of people call him funny style. He was prone to changing his stance on things a lot. Dissing white people on some songs and then saying he gotta work together on others.

In his last few months Pac was fukking white bytches in Italy and doing Versace catwalks for questionable CaCs with racist history (hey Donatella) and had no problem making moves on another man's wife he was beefing with.all whilst ready to argue with any black man who ...but I'm not tripping on that, the man said it himself he was still growing and finding himself...just know it aint that different than some of the same people you criticize. In the end its not really what they do, but which rapper you were liking anyway. :skip:

this is true but im one of those people that dont give a fukk about whats being played on radio or tv and i've always been like that

radio and tv didnt influence what i listened to then or now

i did hold the source magazine in high regard though

Edit: actually rap videos played on TV was needed back then now that I think about it

But these days I really don't see why people give a fukk about what's played on radio or TV
