How many albums does biggie have ? I think TPAB is what he felt at the time. It doesn't mean he's gonna make TPAB the rest of his career and even if he does it's a great, different sounding album.

I'd much rather rappers try to make something they feel at the time instead of everybody mimicking whatever some 1 or 3 hit wonder does to stay relevant.

For instance, one single song — “How We Do” — occupies 4 different playlists on my computer (a swag one, a Top 10 Dre Beats one, a workout one, and another playlist.) Nah he's put on FAR too high of a pedestal and his impact is severly overstated. GKMC was a much better and more successful album. The music on TPAB was good but Kendrick was the worst part of every song. I'm not mad at different but if it's not good, it's not good. I enjoyed the Untitled Unmastered sessions more.

It's the Prisoner Affect. The rap game was heading into an all time low in terms of quality. Bubble gum was taking over. Then Kendrick came along and all that trash made him look like a God.

It's just like if you were held captive/prisoner for 5 years and all they fed you was nasty homeless shelter porridge, then when your rescued, a simple McDonald's cheeseburger would taste like God made it himself.
