I've said it before, but I think Westbrook's hero ball ran KD out of OKC. Too many times he'd dribble straight down the court and take a shot; no offense no nothing. Too many times he'd tried to turn into a 3 pt shooter. Yeah he hit them SOMETIMES, but with his percentages no way he should have been chucking like that.

If Westbrook stayed in his lane instead of trying to out-KD KD. I don't blame him for leaving, I didn' tlike him going to GS.

Westbrook's hero ball? Did you not watch KD's hero ball from game 5-7 which cost them that series? Tried giving the Warriors the series and did so.

You think Westbrook was better than KD in that series?

Maybe if Perk wasn't complete ass juice while making 8 mil per the thunder could have did more :sas1:
Russ a ball hog but at the same time KD isnt aggressive enough in crunch time, He was better against the Warriors in the 'offs but his shot selection was doodoo. How many critical turnovers did KD have in the close games, shyt was crazy. He can now go to a team with less pressure where he won't be doubled and high pressure shots will be more evenly distributed

Is that what I said you or can you not read?
Durant opened up game 5 by icing every teammate out(what Westbrook is usually accused of as he puts up double digit assists). He did the same shyt in game 6. He was full hero ball the whole time. Westbrook had his own gaffs, but Durant lost them that series. :mjpls:

I don't remember who was better overall as it's been a few months. I both know they won their share of games and Durant helping play the 4 and providing good rim protection is what gave them such a good edge. Durant let the whole team down as a scorer though.

Nothing annoys me more than how KD has managed to shirk blame and responsibility for OKC's failure the past half-decade.

It's a shame but KD's flaws as a player likely won't get exposed just due to the plethora of talent on that GS roster. People always trash Russy but KD is still rail thin and gets consistently muscled out of the play by physical wing defenders. Westbrook also nearly matched KD's rebounds per game mark even though he plays PG and gives up 7 inches to the man.

Interestingly enough, Russ assisted KD on made baskets more than any other combo in the league last season.

Young Sabo was also 5th on that list with Serge Ibaka as the recipient, only 39 assists behind the second most-productive combo (Rondo and Cousins :skip:). Considering Serge regressed like crazy last year, it's safe to say that Russy could have easily had the top two spots on that list with even marginally better production from Ibaka.

Now you tell me who's a selfish player :jbhmm:

He wont have Scott Brooks or Westbrook as his scapegoats anymore.......he better set the world on fire :sas1:
So you don't think Scott Brooks was deserving of blame? What exactly did he bring to the table? Keep in mind this was a guy who was embarrassed by Erik fukking spoelstra in the finals. He thought Kendrick Perkins was a starting center in 2014 still. His idea of an offense was isolation for Russ or Durant and never really anything more. It certainly wasn't his adjustments he would make over the course of a game.

That series is what sold it for me. KD would miss a shot and RW would come down court next position and chuck a 3. Instead of trying to be the best Westbrook, he was trying to show everyone he's a better KD which he isnt
