Or maybe Eminem simply liked the album and posted about it on his own accord? How is the label telling Eminem to tweet about the album going to do anything for it's sales? :gucci: He is way past his commercial peak and relevance first of all.
He is still in the top 20 most streamed artists in the country.:hubie:

Your stupidass is using words/terms you don't even know.
Now trying to backtract because your misusing words beyond your 2nd grade vocabulary in a music discussion.Lol

Get ur blackass to Read a book or two and get better at articulating your points

Bro said "Backtract" :why:

Speaking of 2nd grade vocabulary. Homie think he ed-u-ma-cating someone and doesn't even know the actual word is BACKTRACK :mjlol:

Backseat freestyle, swimming pools, the recipe, poetic justice, bytch don't kill my vibe were all singles

Add on money trees and it's literally half the album

Damn only had 3 singles: humble, loyalty, and love but you could dna, yah and element imo. So even in my eyes but evidently didn't fit the single quality prob bc DNA is a harsher humble and yah is slower and more esoteric. Element would have made a nice single though

I'll say that damns singles didn't last or have nowhere near the same impact gkmc's did. Humble hit hard. Loyalty did decent. Him putting out the videos definitely helped but I don't think none stayed like they planned
What do singles have to do with it?
Backseat Freestyle wasn’t pop friendly or mainstream. Same with Swimming Pools. I’ll give you Poetic Justice and bytch Don’t Kill My Vibe.

Explain to me how Money Trees is pop friendly?

Thing is, there’s nothing on GKMC that’s as mainstream/pop friendly as Loyalty.
Humble he was clearly going for the mainstream rap sound and chasing trends with the Ay flow.
Love is another mainstream pop friendly song.

Why is this even a topic? Kendrick isn't really chasing sales with this album.
Every artist is chasing sales, it’s money and exposure to audience. If they say they aren’t it’s because they underperformed or people didn’t like it so it was “for me” “for my real fans”

People bringing up physicals are getting traditional sales and physical sales mixed up lol

Nobody is moving significant amounts of physicals

When ya see “traditional sales” reported, it’s mainly digital downloads that people actually paid the 9.99 for (opposed to simply streaming on Spotify, Apple Music etc.)

In years prior, traditional sales were high due to bundling which Damn had (DAMN T-shirt + album included as digital download) and many other albums had (The Weeknd/Nav with vlone tees, Travis with astroworld merch etc)

Bundling obviously doesn’t count these days so numbers are down across the board…

Moral of the story: no, the lack of physical copies did not play a part in Kendrick not meeting projections. It wouldn’t have made much of a difference. It is what it is.

Why are people talkin about physicals. I ain’t seen a cd in years. Who the hell buying cds.

Adele sold 108k first week on vinyl and 378k on CD and Taylor Swift sold 112k on vinyl and 146k on CD.

54% of Billie Ellish's last album sales, were physical.

I personally don't like Kendrick's new album at all, outside of 2-3 songs....but people are still buying physical copies of albums, contrary to popular belief.

Your so desperate to save face you now turning this about a miniscule 1 letter grammar mistake I made typing on my phone.:russ:

a small grammar mistake don't erase your dumbass not knowing the difference between a album being digestible and the mood it gives for a audience, dumbass :umad:
